Some years ago I got some reel spray from the Pirtek fishing challenge. Worked brilliantly, but I’ve run out. What should I use?
-
I figured it out. I am tech savvy I swear haha
-
Glad I asked now, I was certain I wanted to go down that route but will give carpet another look as well as the Flowcoat stuff
-
Thanks Donna. I couldn't get it to work so just gave up in the end.

At some stage I will be putting in a false floor, casting deck and storage on my 12" project tinny. I have some experience with marine carpet in a larger boat and it's ok to stand on but a HUGE pain to clean. Squid ink, bloody, scales etc just don't come off easily (IMO) Has anyone used EVA foam in a similar context? This is the type I am considering https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gray-Adhesive-Marine-Flooring-Faux-Teak-EVA-Foam-Boat-Yacht-Decking-Sheet-Pads/264447459018?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D3c89f6b132da4edc89fd37463c88aa

It’s not for sale sorry, I only just got it. The motor is in fantastic condition. Old yes, but in my opinion, a way better engine than some cheap direct from COVID Country options.

Great tip frank. Thank you. I won’t have an issue burning through 20L of fuel these school holidays, it’s quite thirsty going flat stick with 4 people in it haha. I am going to send you a PM so we can talk trailers and other mods!
-
I caught one off box head close to the rocks throwing a small plastic.
-
In the interests of keeping things simple, I think I will leave it how it is for a while. A false floor would be great for comfort, but putting in a bilge pump, battery etc instead of getting out on the water and enjoying it doesn't seem logical.
-
I will just have to work around them then Would cutting into the side of them to install storage not weaken things and remove emergency buoyancy
-
So that's why newer boats have wide gunwales.
-
They are full of foam, so I am assuming they have to stay.
-
Not that far away! Although I am staying away from your neck of the woods at the moment *cough cough Corona* Do you have a thread on your mods mate? I am going to use this boat for a while before I decide on what to do. However I know I want some marine carpeted areas and some storage for the anchor and basic fishing tackle and rods. Would really appreciate your input!

It has some rust and has an odd tap type tow ball coupling, but just got towed from the south coast home with no issues. I am thinking $800 is a good place to start. I plan to paint it, look for a new trailer, casting deck, sounder etc. once winter sets in and I am not using it.

Thanks Frank. Hopefully the photo links work. I am not sure what to make from the "make an offer once you see it" deal. Originally a figure of $800 was thrown around. Low? High? I am not sure. Everything is registered and road/ sea worthy.
