hi
port jackson sharks are not protected but there is no point on taking them home
from what i have heard they practically have no meat on them just bones and cartilage
hi mack attack
congrats on such a productive fishing session
where you fishing on the pontoon on the boat ramp at roseville

thanks
sam
Hi
i have the diagram that you are talking about from a previous thread
but i cant upload it mainly because i dont know how, i have tried though
ill try and get it up as soon as i can
sorry
i have caught heaps of them in terrigal lagoon and clifton gardens
they usually take bait aimed at catching live bait, they take tiny nibbles on the bait and it gets really frustrating
happy to finally know what they are
do they grow any bigger
hi
i was just wondering
can you eat the fish in parra river
i thought the waters was too high in mecury or something to eat
this has always confused me as so many people have eaten fish but so many people have told you cant
hi
does Abbotsford wharf produce this well fish all the time
was amazed at the size of the fish the didn't think that was possible
when i go fishing on a wharf in parra river only undersized bream/talor and thats about it
never been to abbotsford before though
hi
nice report
i have used surf pooper rigs before and it is an alright rig
just a quick question do you think that colour of the surf popper really makes that much difference?
thanks
hi
i have a greenish coloured surf popper and this seems to be working for me
as i said i have caught bream around the 30 cm mark on this rig
i am not sure how well the other colours are though.
sam
HI
i have a greenish colour surf popper with gang hook rigs which i bough from &&*&*&
this one has been working for me
i usually catch bream on it off the beach
sam
i have used this rig at terrigal beach with success
on the surf popper i usually catch bream
but on the gang hooks i have caught flat head, tailor and even salmon
sam
hi elforaz
the best way to catch yakkas is by berlying up with bread pilchards or any fish scraps you can find
the best way to use the jigs is by putting bait on every second hook and placeing it in the berly trail
you usually catch yakkas with this method but can also catch all other bait fish species espicialy slimy mackeral
the best way to hook the is their necks or even on their noses
make sure if you do place the hooks on their noses do not go to far up or you might get the brain so just near the nose is best
hope you find this usefull
sam
hi
go on the ***** website
they sell an already made paternoster rig with 3 gang hooks and one surf popper
all you need to do is add the sinker
used this rig on the beach with success
the rig cost $5
good luck
g'day dave
clifton is worth a go and you catch plenty but it is overfished
you always see people just targeting yakkas to eat there
so you might get plenty or just one
on a good day you can see the yakkas swimming in schools in around the jettys
you might want to try balmoral as there are less people fishing there
good luck
