  1. What a beautiful jew, pitty you didn't catch it this weekend if you were fishing the Classic, with fish like this coming in looks like the river will be buzzing for the Classic. Hopefully we will see a few specimens like that at the way in. Congrats on a great fish. Kat
  2. Hey Dad, good to see you using the computer. am looking forward to fishing the classic with you this year. Hope to see some of you out there. They are still accepting applications even though the closing date has passed. It is a great weekend that is enjoyed by all. Me and dad will be fishing the whole weekend, come and say hi if you see us in the MaryKat See if i can better my 3rd place of last year!!!!!
  3. Hey, All I can say is Go Dad!! thanks for the pic you sent to my phone at 10pm on Fri night of the 2 hairtail, that really had me wishing I was there. Looking forward to making it next year!!! Kat
  4. Have added the pic into my previous post now if you want to check it out. Not sure who it was that took out the heaviest fish prize. Looking forward to seeing what dad and i can do next year. Kat
  5. Hey all, thanks for your congrats. IT was an awaesome feeling getting up there and winning the rod reel and trophy. The flatheads getting weighed were huge, they ranged from 1 to 4 kgs. The winning fish was 18kgs. What a great day i had with dad yesterday especially when i caught the fish. My fish was 64cm and weighed in at 1.83kgs, not all that big compared to 18kgs. But i am happy. Kat
  6. I have fished all my life, my family have lived on the Hawkesbury River for many generations so the water is in my blood, Perhaps finding a school would work for a few minutes but i find if you don't have the patence you wont get into it. My hubby doesn't fish and i can't get him keen so i have just given up on him coming!!!!!
  7. Thanks Jason, I had to put one photo with dad in there to make him happy. Hopefully we will see you in the harbour soon. Kat
  8. Hey, Thanks don't know if there is a website. We were fishing near Diamond Head (i think that is it either that or diamond point) and at the reef just off Sumerland Point. Kat
  9. Hey all, Went up to lake macquarie with dad for a comp on the weekend. Had a great weekend came home with 3 snapper, 3 flatties, 4 flounder, 1 bream and 2 blue swimmers. Threw heaps of just under and just legals back. Missed out on taking the biggest snapper by 10grams, damn!!! On the last day doing drifts, on our last drift came up with my PB flattie measuring 64cm's and weighed in at 1.8kgs, the biggest flattie for the weekend caught by a local was 2.5kgs . I have to say i was stoked with my catch. What a great weekend for me and dad. Kat
  10. Hey D&G You are always welcome to tag along Dad was on with one of the bust offs and it really had alot of weight on it. the swap sounds good. Hook'm thanks no pillies on our boat was all live yakkas. Dad doesn't know how to reply yet, bloody computers he says i am trying to teach him kat
  11. Thought i might add a couple more pics of me and Dad (the sweeney) This is exactly the same as what we look like when we are out on the water under normal circumstances it is funny really I didn't catch anything, it was a set up photo. captured my passion perfectly but.
  12. What a great day on the water. We ended up with a trev and flounder. The Sweeney got his PB shovel nose which was fun cos it decided to make friends with our other lines. It was great hearing of so many raiders out there. Congrats on the PB King Hook'm, It was great to meet you. It was great to see you guys out there, thanks for the tips and for trying to get us into those kings as well. Hope to see you all on the water again soon. I have to say, to all you raiders who are such a freindly and helpfull bunch of people, we have learnt alot from all of your tips and it has brought in some good fish for us. Thanks Kat
  13. sounds like a good day on the water. Did you get my PM Dan?? Kat
  14. Hey all, Me and THE SWEENY will be heading out on Sat morning, looking like an absolutely amazing day, Hope to see some of you out there, Say hi if you see us in the faithful Mary-Kat Good to all. Kat
  15. We got the snapper driffting in deeper water about 30m, they liked fresh the squid heads. The other boat with us anchored and berlied and got plenty too. We sat on some of the reefs but pickedup to much junk so we started drifting, each drift we picked up 1 or 2 snapper. They were on the bottom and not biting like normal they were pulling on the bait so we had to hit them to get them hooked.
