Hi raiders took the missus and boys to chaffey dam on the weekend for a camp and fish. First time there and was impressed. Awesome facilities and only 5 bucks per vehicle using the honesty system. Hot showers and flushing toilets a plus for the missus. Set up camp then jumped in for a swim as was 38c. Within 10 minutes of being in the water a large cod in the 80cm range jumps out near us. That's it out of the water rods rigged. After a few ours of worms and spinner baits my young fella gets his first fish. A 39cm yellow belly. About 30 minutes after sunset. I just read a report somewhere yesterday about a lot of illegal netting going on in glenbawn. the video put up was at the narrow with a 50m plus net with hundreds of yellas cod bass and other fish dead in it.

hi sarge you can get a boat in and get a fairway up the river its slow going because there are a lot of shallow rocks. I normally fish land based from Norton's or bents basin with success using a variety of hard bodies. kayaks are a good option also.

Big browns are smashing tazzie devil lures in the Nepean at the moment red seems to be the preferred colour. haven't personally got down there yet due to work but a number of mates have had great success in the last week. Daniel
