Hi Trung, Really nice fish. Amazing work.. I have my own boat but I'm sorta new to fishing and I think my wife is going to leave me if I dont bring home any fish soon! I go out in the bay almost every weekend but dont catch alot.. I guess I'm still a newb One day I will bring in a big haul like this.. (fingers crossed) Cheers Jesse

Hi Raiders, Went up North into the Swansea Channel (and Lake Macqaurie) away from my usual fish in Botany Bay. Dropped the boat in on sunday at Blacksmiths with the Wife, Brother in law and my Nephew as it was his birthday. Fished the channel all day on bait and lures and not even a bite for any of us except my wife caught a decent trevally, which was great as its the first time shes been out on my boat since I bought it 4 months ago! P.S Maritime was doing saftey checks and handing out stickers.. Friendly guys doing a great job btw. Went out Monday and took more of the family out, my daughter and my two nieces. Nothing all day in the channel however we saw some dolphins which made the kids really excited which was nice to see. Dropped the girls off picked up my brother in law and my nephew and fished the rest of the day around the lake and then back into the channel and nada..Water was so clear I woulda have dived in hand picked the fish out if I even saw one! A big donut but beautiful weather to make the day worth it all, and it was also great to take the family out on the boat Spoke to a few locals at the ramp ion the way back in who told me its tough in the Lake until next month.. I think its the same everywhere.. Ive taken a day off work today and will get out into the harbour or in the back in the bay so hopefully something is out there.. Im always trying.. I think my wife will divorce me if I dont bring home any fish soon! Cheers Jesse

Hi All, Been fishing the bay all through winter because of the beautiful sunny weekends that we have been having and because I live on the bay and its just to easy to get out there. Ive got to say that it is been very tough the last month with most outings resulting in a biteless day out on the water. Its a little disappointing as this is my first year of fishing and fishing with a boat as well. When I started flicking for flatties on the beach at Ramsgate early this year I was catching like around five fish every hour which was great fun So....I thought I would buy a boat in winter so I could catch more fish when the flattied slow down! Winter wasnt too bad and I caught lots of tailor and trevally but this last month is just dead. Hopefully its a transitional period and things start to pick up soon as I'm aching to here my line zing zing again! Good luck All and let us know if you catch anything.. If you see me out in the bay say hi, Im there most weekends.. Im in 475 older Stacer with newer 60 hp etec and and a rocket launcher. Went out to the Hacking last week only to not get a bite all day outside and in except for this nice flatty towards the end of the session. Caught it on the sand flats with a 1/2 Oz Vibe.. Made the day worth while. Cheers Jesse

Hi everyone, This is my first post and would like to say hello to all the raiders out there. Great forum and love reading it. I've just started fishing about 6 months ago on bait then quickly changing over to soft plastics and lures. I fish mainly at Ramsgate Beach in Botany Bay and have caught quite a few fish on plastics. Mainly flatties but the occasional tailor and trevally from time to time. Ever since I started fishing ive wanted to catch more fish so I thought that I needed a boat. Well now I have one. The boat is 4.7m Stacer with a 60hp Evinrude etech on the back. The boat is older but in good condition and the motor is an 09 model. Now I have no idea about fishing off a boat even though I've got boating experience behind me. Im looking for someone with experience that can come out on the boat and teach me about plastics and lures and how to use them to catch something. Im an easy going guy and Im more than happy to keep taking you out as well if all works out. I'm 34 have two kids but I'm like a big one myself when it comes to gadgets and hobbies. I don't mind the occasional smoke and you can have a drink or two on board if you want to but no pissheads. I'm happy to supply boat fuel gear etc in return for your experience. More than likely I will have one other mate with me unless you have a towbar as I dont just yet.
