Hi raiders Had a quick flick before work and picked up one lonely squid tasted real good Yesterday used the head for bait the conditions were perfect, and managed the biggest port Jackson I've ever seen close to a metre and round like a cow Curios what's the biggest and where are these snapper

hi raiders I've caught quite a few Jew in the harbour around the metre mark and all I can say is they've been all on the low tide change day or night , but the bait of choose was always super fresh squid, small to medium whole or big heads with legs , guts Burley etc I fish 30 _ 50 pound fluorocarbon to 30 lb main but depending on location and what's around. I like as light as possible running ball sinker as it gives the fish minimal resistance as possible, but this is not possible in all locations, I like to fish close to where I catch my squid or nearby drop off. I don't have heaps of preferences regarding moons etc, but you do have to soak your big baits which gets nibble by little which in turn will catch the eye of a feeding fish good luck tight lines

Hi raiders I just pulled out 8 squid from Clifton they were all arrows which I don't normally catch , no size about them but great size for bait Lately well in the last 2 Weeks I haven't found any southern's in the usual North harbour spots and I've moved around and used all different colours and sizes. In the last 10 minutes I used a big cheap 3.5 white fluro as I caught 1 right on the bottom and as I was reeling it in 4 others came up so it was quick work lifting on deck unhooking and throw it back in and scored all for of them, just goes to show that when there feeding that'll eat whatever's around Tight lines

Hi raiders I am a land based fisherman who always catches fresh and live squid and I just would like to get out on the harbour or outside on a boat to tangle with something bigger OKs let me know if going out on any Sunday thanks raiders I have caught big Jew in the harbour but few and far between

Amazing creatures Yeah just got my first major and I use yamas all the way in the 25 & 30 What's your favourite colour size at the moment . I love the reds and some of the shimano kamura with a faster retrieve what your approach Fast or slow retrieve At the moment i'm getting 1 or 2 big ones and then i've got to move Cheers for the reply

Hi raiders Just have a few hours to burn on the run up tide and got a good bait sized squid first cast but very quiet now just checking if anyone has any reports on where they're hiding at the moment cheers
