  1. Thats a great result, flats fishing is tops. I watched the AFC as well, those guys are good and its good to know that even some of the top guys miss out on fish occassionally.
  2. Hey Raiders, just thinking of upgrading. I am seriously looking at a Stacer Nomad, 4.29. It has a large bait tank under the front deck, inbuilt petrol tank, anchor well and has the new "evohull", which is a v-bottom. Anyhow, any feedback will be welcomed. cheers
  3. Its amazing what you can catch in the lake. Iv'e caught a small ray there before, but not much bigger than a dinner plate, but it had some pulling power.
  4. Great report and well done on letting the lizard go.
  5. What a great report, well done on the PBs. Good to hear some size coming in from there now.
  6. Good report even rude. Glad to hear the kings are still about, nice lizard there as well.
  7. Great report penguin, sounds action packed, well done with the great bag of fish as well.
  8. Nice report David and great photos. Is there much weed up there still? I love going up there and the fish are top fun on fly gear, especially surface poppers. Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like a bass to me.
  9. Thats a huge fish, yeh, pity it was kept and at that size, they're not big on taste.
  10. Thats a well fitted out tinny, youve done well.
  11. Cheers guys, Hey Dave, I like the vanish, the 17lb is good for most kings, have lost 3 though, mainly due to chaffed leaders. Hi Phil, 40lb! That must have been a whale!
  12. Hi Sharky, I use the 17lb Vanish, have been busted off about 3 times though, so for most kings 20lbs should be enough, you might lose a few big ones though. The ones I was busted off with was once due to knots, one due to a chaffed leader and the third to a beast of a fish that was almost at the boat.
  13. One day last week, the day it rained all morning, I headed out for my last fish of the holidays. It was raining all morning from 6 am to about 11, but in a way it was good because I'm sure it kept the number of boats out there down . Anyhow, anchored up, burleyed hard and had my best session on fly for king fish thus far. From about 7 - 12, I had boated 6 kings, 1 PB at 67cms, rest between 45 and 61 and had a few extra hook ups and one almighty bust off. As fishing goes, it was action a plenty for a while, then nothing and just about to move to another spot and there was a hookup to keep me there for a while longer. Overall, not heaps of fish, but for me that was my best session and I was very happy. he's my PB. cheers
  14. Well done Dave, nice lizards and congrats on the PB bream, those attack lures are sure effective.
  15. Well done on the kings again Netic, I had a fun day with them last week, will post a report. As for the Fisheries, they were out last time I saw them, during the week, which is not that productive if they want to catch anyone, you'd think Sat or Sunday would be the time to check with the amount of boats out there. They asked for my license and if I caught any fish, I think they caught one guy who didnt have a license, but there were only 4 boats out there all morning anyway.
