I thought this info would be useful to all of us, in light of my mate getting booked, and it's a wake up call for me to say the least, highway patrol said in the event you have a rollover the contents of the boat do not become projectiles. And thinking about it it makes sense...cheers

Hi all, just got off the phone to the highway patrol in my local area regarding the law about securing items in transit for trailers,,the only reason I asked the question is because my mate got pulled over for not securing his load in his ute lost 3 points and a lot of $$. I was informed by the highway patrol that BOAT trailers are subjected to the same law, so I guess I will be taking all my gear out and put it in the car whilst in transit to and from the boat ramp,,,was wondering if you guys are aware of this???cheers.

hi there, just keep in mind also that street parking rules have been changed in NSW.....but good luck in finding a suitable boat,,it took me 7 months to find my one...

Hi guys, just thought I'd update you all on the problem with my speedo gauge for future reference, I managed to close the tubing in its home position before it was cut and used araldite to close the tubing shut and form a closed seal,,,tested it out on the weekend and the gauge now works....cheers for your help....

I'm confused about enclosed waters meaning inside and open waters meaning outside, what is enclosed waters then??, also the people at BCF after asking them what safety gear I need for inside the bay fishing like the Hawksbury and up to lion island didn't mention anything about inshore flares outside flares etc etc,,doesn't worry me if I have to buy them, but if I don't need to buy them then I won't!!,,,I just want to be compliant... That's all...
