  6. Hi all. Looking for some hot spots to try in Lake Macquarie, chasing bream and flatties. Any thing would be great. Cheers.
  7. I finally got xmas holidays this week and have been busting to do some fishing. I went to Tuggerah Lakes the other day, early morning and the water was boiling with hungry fish, so i thought i would skim some plastics weightless accross the top and was getting smashed on nearly every cast. slowly drifted off the weed bed and onto some sand things went quiet for 5 mins then smash got hit by a 59cm flattie on the surface, scared the sh#t out of me. Managed to land it on 4 pound gear, could not believe the fight it put up, dancing accross the surface my reel was screeeming . I took a photo and then released it for another day. In just a couple hours i managed countless bream and the flattie
  8. I CAN SEE WHY EVERYONE IS PISSED OFF, BUT WATER IS IMPORTANT TO EVERYONE AND WE ALL NEED IT TO SURVIVE. BUT AFTER SPENDING ALOT OF MONEY ON A NEW BOAT ONLY A YEAR AGO I WILL CONTINUE TO FLUSH IT AFTER EVERY USE. IM A MECHANIC AND HAVE SEEN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOMEONE CARING FOR THERE ENGINE AND SOMEONE NOT TAKING THE SAME CARE. AS THE SAYING GOES 'IT WONT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT , BUT IT WILL HAPPEN'.CORROSION ATTACKS EVERYTHING!!!!!! I TRAVELLED TO RIVERSTONE TODAY TO PURCHASE A RAIN WTAER TANK 1450L FOR UNDER 500 BUCKS WITH FILTER SCREEN AND FITTINGS AND IS SLIM ENOUGH TO FIT ALONG SIDE OF HOUSE. I WILL INSTALL MYSELF( ITS PRETTY EASY) AND THAT SOLVES THE PROBLEM FOR ME. P.S. MAYBE NOW THE COUNCIL MAY SEE THAT BUILDING A DAM ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN IS NOT SO GOOD......
  9. Thanks Jason Thats a great help you have managed to answer nearly all of my thoughts and questions without me having to ask cheers...

  13. Hi all Im new to the sport of luring for bream and was wandering if someone could tell me why people double there briad before tying a leader? And what benefit it has? Cheers
  14. Thankyou Flattieman and Grant. I fish from a boat and have tried fishing around the weedbeds. I have not tried using shad style soft plastics so i will have to give them a go. Do lures work at night? Because i have heard that there are big bream at night over near the Entrance bridge. And can you catch flatties at night? When you say whip the lure back, do you whip the rod up or down? or doesnt it matter? CHEERS....
