Awsome info on a good topic. I run two 200 saltwater on a 28 cat and have had to come back on one motor not bad at 5000rpm 22kn. but still 12 mile from land its good to have second motor, am repowering to 4 strokes as I too go wide.

Well done gets a bit tricky by yourself but double hooks are fun, interesting when trying to handle a video camera as well. I find the wind makes them spooky, calm days they stay on the bite longer and more ferociously, in the wind they get a bit funny. Always great fun though.

Finally got time to post pic.!!! Will check out operator's if I see anything that tickles my fancy will have a crack if not will go surfn might buy a cheap stick and some lures and find some where to have a flick.

Went out tried few reefs looking for snapper or kingies not a touch. Was a bit windy so tried fish traps about 16k off bbay, no luck. not far away ventured the fad, saw 1 leap as I approached water was 21.5 so was surprised. Caught 2 dropped two one at the boat and one in mid air during some acrobatics. One was early 60's put her back kept one 70 odd cm's that was four drifts and after that they stopped???!!! The wind dropped by the time I got back to east reef still no bites. And that was all she wrote. Have photo of the keeper will post later. Going to bali on sat so I guess thats it for me and dolly till next year. Anyone been fishing in bali????!

Have photos from monday. Went out today for jackets aplenty. Had dollies check out the boat and follow a few baits at barejoey wide while we were bottom bashing water there was 23+. Went out to the fad for nada. Windy and messy. 22 degrees. The dollies in closer wouldnt take a thing offered. Thats all the photos I could manage to upload from monday.

Didnt get out sarvo heading off ealy in morn, size 7 tuna circle on 15w overhead eldorado and daiwa sealine sld 30 tried some other live bait hooks but they hook up too deep in the gullet tuna circle usually take in the corner of the mouth. They hit everything except a lure, live yakkas dead yakkas pilchards. Had me big roller on board like the thought of a blue was gna head out further but too much fun at the fad.!!!

Went out to the fad (broken Bay) on monday been trying to download pictures to computer having issues will be fixed tomorow add then. Saw fish schooling up on the way out at about 10k's off land then 15k's at the fish traps before the fad looked tunaish might have been kingies couldnt get a good enough look every time I got close enough to cast at em they ran away . Same fish again bout 1.5 k off the fad??!! At the fad dollies everywhere . Smashing the surface the whole time I was there 2ish till 430. Then Saw the whole school take off at the horizon at a 100miles an hour skipped the surface a couple of times and gone big predator I think and the action stopped. While there just drifted past repeatedly for double hookups interesting when by yourself. All between 60-70cm used livies couple of dead livies and pilchards all got smashed. Each fished followed to the boat by its mates, beatiful day dead calm slight sea took about an hr to get back into gosford to mooring awesome run home at sunset great day heaps of hook ups all successfull . Going out again sarvo if I get work done on boat. Definately tomorrow for bottom bash early then fad about lunchtime. Just looked water still 23-25' should be another good day.

Where did they hook up anyone know?? Thats a big effort thought the bills would off to greener warmer waters by now??!

Total two schnapper, one 50 odd one just legal? found a drift atreggies hit a rise got the two one after another couldnt find it again an all we gots was jackets after that.. Tried esmerelda and valiant wreck for jacketness pain in the and called it a day. We got a feed and the bigun put on a solid performance. .

I was at botany looking at a new boat didnt buy it but saw a boat hastily cutting up about 20+ undersize dollies. Not a good look. Where is whale reef?? Regards

Fishing off palm beach last night sid pulling up his second snapper to be greeted by its head body had been bitten off in what looke like one bite! Velly intelestiing! caught some tailer then went home the end!!!!

23 degrees on the dot water felt noticibly warm. anyoe know the size limit on them?

Went to FAD off broken bay caught 65cm dollie in about 10 min my first! after an hour and a half tried bjoey wide leather jackets, flatty grounds leatherjackets, few other spots leather jackets. pulled in and under size snapper and two tiny flatties. Beautifulday on the water and a curse broken.
