  1. Hi Fellow Fishraiders. Finally I have bought home an Easter Feed for the Missus and Kids. Took the day off and slow out of the sack but hit the water at brooklyn at 8.30am. Motored down to my usual spot (Which returns zero usually) only to find a trawler motoring around. Not to be outdone I anchored up, unfroze the prawns and the firs cast yielded a little flatty followed quickly by a little bream. As the morning wore on so did the fish and they gradually got bigger with midday seeing me home with 8 flathead 40cm to 59cm (Checked by the fishos as well) and a monster blue swimmer crab (dropped another 3) During the morning a couple of 42cm Jewies which went back to fight another day along with being bitten off at least 20 times because I was too lazy to get the tract out of the box. A sensational day on the water. Yoo Hoo
  2. Hi Guys Got out this morning, finally after some loon had crashed in the Epping Tunnel blocking the M@ & M7. Fished F&S for 1 bitten off for 1.5 hours then moved around the corner up a creek and got a number of just undersized Jewfish, a stack of bream going to 25cm and 4 flatties. Only 1 keeper in all that a 39cm Flattie which will be in my belly tonite. I will be back out there tomorrow with more time . See you there
  3. Thanks Got Naybour coming on friday morning. I am geared up for a big one.
  4. Hi Guys After months of no fishing I have taken the next 2 days off work and I am heading down to F&S in the morning and again on Friday. The tide will be heading to the bottom and I have prawns, squid, mullet, yellowtail and pilchards for bait. Can anyone help me with sinker size and trace lengths and also should I anchor or drift and lastly if I anchor where is a good spot. i will be on my pat malone (no mates) to help with dropping anchor. Thanks
  5. Finally got back out on the water on Sunday (after finding a park for the boat trailer at Berowra Waters) with my daughter and a my mate Lucky and his young bloke from Dubbo. Tried a few spots heading towards the river to no avail and ended up fishing a spot I found at the mouth of Minnamurra ck and finally my daughter landed a nice 32cm Bream which went in the keeper net incase we got some more. We dint so he went back in to fight another day. We did however catch a few undersized tailor which kept us all interested until we went home for a few beers, couple kg prawns, 3 doz oysters and many beers and oyster shooters and the GF. Cheers
  6. Hi Folks. Off to the Hawkesbury in the morning with my 12 year old daughter. I was wondering, not having caught anything at Bar Point or The Vines with Bait I may be using the incorrect sinkers. Can anyone please advise an approp riate size sinker for say mid tide and leader length which may help me out. Many Thanks :1fishing
  7. Thanks for that. I actually went 1 whole year without loing a bait. That included one trip to Sydney harbour.
