  1. Was fishing the mouth of the Maclay River 2 weeks ago for Blackfish and just under the float was a Hairtail swimming backward and forward trying to get its way back to the sea. Must have got lost. Strange, I have never seen them there before and have fished this spot for 40 years or more.
  2. Caught one of those at Stuarts Point about 5 weeks ago,12 feet of water on a soft plastic. Put up a good fight for its size, hit like an express train love to get a bigger model.
  3. Hi all Marine parks are a bit like trying to understand the settings on your TV remote controls. By the time you figure it out, the fish or the boundaries have been changed. Thank you for the chance to vote. Stay united. Robert.
  4. New member - Robert from Bathurst - first post, with that said lets get to the nity grity. Met Stewy for the first time (what a helping hand to the learners). The blackfish were on the bite monday, the fishing was good the company was great. We all managed a few fish and had a great afternoon. To answer Flattieman (dirty cheat) I actually had sore elbows from pulling in fish so I had to hold it out like that and to Jewhunter, yes it was worth the trip, as I usually travel 700 klms to Stuarts Point chasing them. Just a short note, if you have to travel from remote areas to catch a fish of your chosen variety, up to date and accurate inforemation is a must and that is what you get from the members of this site. I thank you all.
