  1. gday all, i too have been watching this ramp. looks beautiful with great facilities, but i think i'll stay well clear of it on weekends. i think that it will be to congested with people wanting to launch and retrieve at the same time. (ramp rage central) being a shift worker tho i cant wait for some mid week time at this ramp.
  2. Gday all, I've been playing with the frozen burly bomb as well. A couple of different things that I've been trying, but have found that crushed wheat that i run through the blender to reduce it's size seems to be the goods. What i do is put the wheat in a bucket, add enough hot water to cover the wheat and let the wheat absorb it. When the mix has cooled down i add a good splash of tuna oil and also a splash of magic sauce that i got from tony @ fishfinder (sauce with LPT or something like that???). Give it a good mix and add more cold water to it, so that its like runny mud. i then put it into what i call my serving bucket with some string looped through the mix, the reason for that is that when i'm at anchor this little fella is down there with the anchor ( these bombs seem to float really well) releasing it's trail of love for all my fishy friends. The first time i tried this, i had the bomb just tied off at the back of the boat, it lasted nearly 2 hours and was giving off a fine mist of burly and i was able to see flashes of silver in the trail after about 1/2 hour.
  3. gents, thank you all for your comments very helpful. cheers Mark
  4. yeah i've seen offtap at the ramp acouple of times, it seemed to be fine. The one i drove today was AWD, i can't imagine that there would be a drama with the ford but it doesn't hurt to ask around.
  5. gday all, i'm in the market for a ford territory and i'm wondering if any other raiders are towing with a territory. I'm looking at the models that are 6speed, the boat is a 5.1m allycraft (not really a heavy boat).Just wondering if there is anything i should be aware of.. cheers. Mark
  6. gday all, gotta say you could not have picked a better day to hold the social. well done to all involved.
  7. gday all, Warnie i'm interested in get the details of the place you talk about at wetherill park. send us a pm with the info if you don't mind.cheers
  8. gday Robbielites, if you don't intend on using the cut out piece use it for a couple of practice cuts so that you get a feel for the tool of choice. Personally i think i would be more inclined to use a jigsaw for the job, also have a word with a sheet metal shop or someone that does alum.welding for a living.Possibly a cougar craft manufacturer Good luck with it, as mentioned earlier measure way to many times check and re check, then make one cut.
  9. gday tony, how much of temp. change would you expect to see??
