  1. Great! Thanks everyone! I will go to the BP! Regards, Breambo
  2. Hi, Still looking? Has anyone in Sydney been able to source any chicken Gut recently? Thanks, Breambo
  3. Hi, I have tried as best as I can all the suggestions including ringing all the chicken farms near Blacktown & Pendle Hill etc. Years ago, these places would sell me a bucket of fresh chicken gut! Now they all say they don't have any for sale! I also tried different fishing shops including Takle world ( Drummoyne & Taren Point) the fishing shop at Kings park) everyone says they aren't able to source fisho anymore! Previously, I had little trouble obtaining chicken gut! From the feedback from one of the fishing shops, it seems it may be possibly not enough profit in it anymore? If anyone knows who has any for sale in sydney, I would be most grateful? Thanks , Breambo
  4. Thanks everyone! I will try these suggestions! Breambo
  5. Hi, I have been trying to get frozen Chicken gut for some time. Just before x-mas, I was told at the fishing shop that they would be able to get some by late January! Well it's now february and now I have been told that they can't get any chicke gut! I live in the inner west. If anyone knows who has frozen chicken gut I would be most grateful! Breambo
  6. When the mullet are running in the estuaries, sometimes the bream will only go for the mullet. If that's the case a whole sea mullet could serve you well. In Berowra, Where I usually fish that is usually late April-May. if you are fishing for bream try chicken breast if the water is relatively clear? If the water is dirty I usually do very nicely on chicken gut. Cheers
  7. Hi, The flats are really good for bream and flatties. For Bream a 3 foot trace using about 6lb line. For bait you can't go past chicken breast when the water is clear and chicken guts when the water is coloured. For flatties, 1/2 pilchards or soft plastics or even hawkesbury prawns are good. Good Luck! Breambo
  8. I use number 2 long shank chemical sharpened hooks. Works really well for bream of all sizes but the really important thing to do is to buy a hook sharpener and always sharpen your hooks after catching a couple of fish and to use new hooks for every trip. Try this and your hook-up rates should improve. Breambo
  9. Hi Darcy77, Fished berowra yesterday for 6 bream to 34cm and 1 flathead. All caught on chicken and chicken guts. Been using lures recently for flatties not having much luck. I think we need more hot days before the fishing improves. Talked to a local recently and he said bream up to 4lb were being caught. Haven't caught any jewies at berowra lately either apart from really small soapies.
  10. Thanks for the advice fellas. Will give it a go. Breambo
  11. Hi, JUst wandering how Nelson Bay landbased is fishing since the rain? Any spots worth trying?
  12. Hi Prawnstar, That's an excellent catch! What did you use in the berley?
  13. The Sunday Telegraph lures are great! I caught a 2kg flathead in Berowra Waters in January with one of them and today caught a 50cm flathead with the same lure before the tail got chewed off. If they repeat the offer I think I will get a couple of those soft plastics.
  14. That's an excellent Berowra Jewie. What did you get him on?
  15. Great catch! What baits worked best for this catch? Breambo
