  1. I also saw this a little back and the other boat in Flint and Steel Bay, I too thought they must be overlaps as the boats are not on thier sides which I woould expect them to be.Will have to see if the fishfinder picks up anything next outing. Cheers Suffo
  2. Saw it a couple of years ago and paid $5 for some soft plastics.Work a treat, especially the white ones.I caught 3 tailor and a 37cm Flattie in 4 casts and believe I had a monster Bream before being busted off on the 5th cast.Bait was failing. Cheers Suffo
  3. A mate and I went out for a quiet session with a couple of drinks on hand and I had decided we would hit a few different spots in the Hawkesbury but all fruitless. We moved to the old fav of mine X spot and waited for the sun to come up.I had explained to my mate once the sun gets high enough and removes the shadow on the water the fish will come on.Sure enough just as I finished the next 15 minutes were mayhem.Baits being smashed everywhere for about 20 minutes. On the menu was 3 over 40 cm flatties,a 46cm Jewie and a large number of undersized fish of flathead, bream, snapper and tailor. A question I would like to raise though is if anyone has ever caught a John Dory up the Hawkesbury?I had a fish chase my bait to the edge of the boat that looked similar to a leather jacket but brown in colour and the ugliest fish I have ever seen.I personally have never caught one before and believe this is what I saw but never heard of them up there. In all a great day out with top weather. Sorry no photos this trip. Tight Lines Suffo
  4. If the motor all ready has the hosingattachments needed, not sure but probally pick one up at one of the 2 big boating suppliers otherwise just get a cheap $2 hose multi function sprayer with a piece screwing in at the bottom of the hadle and you will find these fit as I used this when I could not find the original at first. Cheers Adam.
  5. GOOD OLD HAWKESBURY PRAWNS
  6. Close a little bit more towards Cowan. Cheers Adam
  7. Seen rumours on the site before that there are no fish in the Hawkesbury.I took my Dad and little bloke out on the water for thier first time in my new boat. The night beforre was a massive storm and thought of cancelling the trip but I am glad we didn't as it was a gorgous day with plenty of fish. The smallest fish my little bloke caught which was a snapper about 2 inches long,I think the hook was almost bigger than it.Flathead, tailor, snapper and Bream in thier droves.Threw alot back being under size but came home with a good feed.

  10. My guess would be old and yellow.
  11. Although the storm had hit the night before, two of my mates were still keen to go and so was I for a hit down the Harbour chasing the kings that everyone is writing about. We tried to get live squid but to no avail as it rained the entire time which was suppose to be occasional showers. We had managed to raise a few squid on bait but not lures and failed to land them though. The peckers were out in force landing a few small snapper when we watched my mates rod bend over for the first time in the outing.Line peeling offand his first hook up to a king his blood was pumping all excited.this poor felow does not fish to often and when we told him you got to throw him back his to small he was gutted, and he did.It was only about 50-55cm but he was stoked. We moved closer to the shore for some shelter as it was a little rough where we were.My other mate was floating some squid and bang off goes the line zzzzzzzz another king, measuring on 65cm.We tried some trawling but the seas were still very rough. We moved just inside Bradleys Head and managed a few small fish. Considering the weather we were out in a good day out even though it was not to productive.Beat working. Pic is my mate with his first king.
  12. Went to Bawley Point for a few days and decided not to take the boat as it usually rains whenever I head south,so packed the beach rod and thought I would try my luck at something I do rarely.Fished for just a couple of hours each arvo and could only land a banjo shark each time. Well it beat cathing nothing at all but next time the dam boat GO'S.By the way it was perfect sunny days everyday,of coarse. It was a great trip away otherwise with plenty of wildlife around. Cheers Suffo
