  1. Thanks guys, I will be powering these switches off a central switch panel, So that when I first power up the central switch panel, the idea is to have all the individual switches illuminate. that way they are easily seen in the dark. But being fussy, I dont want bulky switches, just smallish rocker switches.
  2. Hi all, looking for some ideas. I want to install some small LED illuminated rocker switches (12v). The thing is, I want them illuminated when in the "OFF" position. (so they can be easily located in the dark) Does anyone know if such a switch exists? I have googled & I have spoken to a couple of suppliers, but have not yet had any success.
  3. + 1 to what zmk1962 said. none - or minimal deck / cabin lights whilst underway.
  4. Think Fab1 is right. Sounds like the Dog clutch(if that's the correct term) Needs some adjustment - Check with Craig or Roger at Huetts.

Plastic Welding - might be worth looking into.
  6. Night also be the bungs weeping - happens to me, its a pain in the neck. I replace the bung washers with 'O' rings

  8. Cheers Ray, I'll give it another crack - I was loathe to hit it too hard!
  9. Hi all, Can anyone help me out with some "how to" guidance? I need to get the throttle lever off the control box & to 'split' the handle, in order to get to the trim switch. I have removed the box, & loosened the Hex head screw in the back (red arrow). I read elswhere that a couple of sharp taps with the hammer, & the lever would come off. I have tried this & it does not seem to want to move. this leads me to think that I need to undo something else. does anyone know if I need to open the box? (I am adverse to doing this if I dont have to!) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. pdlux, I know that this is not going to be much help, but I know it can be done. I used to have a Quinny Cruiseabout that we used to ski behind using 2 hooks & a bridle. The hooks are available through the prominent Chandlery retailers. I did speak briefly to Craig (Huey) about doing this on my current boat, but didnt press for details, so Craig might be able to help you out there. Good luck

Finin, I dont remember Easts running, but I sure remember them being at the top of the table when I was in primary school - red white & blue...........! Such a long time ago now, they were pretty much a team of star players back then.........aaaah for the good old days.

    City to Surf

Kel, thanks for that, but I have to tell you, you should do it - it's absolutely fantastic. every one is there for pretty much the same reason & as such, you meet a heap of great people. the organisation is fantastic, given the huge volume of runners & walkers & actors! and the volunteers do a massive job. The crowd along the way is great & I have never seen so many people just enjoying themselves & no agro at all (not that I saw). No one cares if you walk, crawl or roll, so long as you have fun. Make sure you sign up for next year & if you want to run, just start building a little bit of training into your weekly routine.

    City to Surf

Austral, I am running My 15k training route in around 76 min on a good day, so I figure that allowing for dodging & trampling of the crowd, I might be able to do a around 76min. Trouble is, as a late entrant & with no previous recognised times, I am starting in the yellow - the second last group to go. that'll make it interesting!

    City to Surf

Hi all, Just wondering if there will be any other Fishraiders running in the City to surf? I will be doing it for the first time ever, this year & I am really quite excited. I have never entered anything like this before, but I am going to give it a red hot go. There will only be 85,000 of us - so you should be able to pick me out with out too much drama! I'll be the blurry blob amongst the other 84,999 blurry blobs !! Good luck to anyone else giving it a crack!
  16. Marty, To be fair, I will post up here if i am heading out. That way everybody gets a chance. But I will try to remember to drop you a line to let you know! Of course, i am always open to a bit of graft & corruption - big bit that is!
  17. No worries. I'm leaving now & by the way, if you are really worried about getting wet, I might put the Bimini & clears on !
  18. I can rent you an umbrella & a spray jacket! My mobile is 0488 402 739 Call or text me - I'm loading the boat, so nt close to the computer
  19. probably a bit late - I'm thinking of leaving at about 4 ish. How Keen are you? if you want to meet me at apple tree bay ramp (if you have transport), I'd consider picking you up & giving it a few more hours. over to you
  20. thinking of going up to Waratah bay or Jeruselam Bay tonight. If any one wants a fish, leave a message here. (DONT PM me) I will stop checking for messages at 3.30pm so dont delay if you want to come.
  21. send me an email & we will see what we can work out.
  22. Dave, I'm not convinced yet! Just back from a run & it's damn cold out there! I need to get myself organised, but I'm thinking tomorrow night at this stage. What were you thinking.?
  23. G'day all, I am trying to convince three people (me, myself & I) to have a hairtail session - Cowan Creek, on either Saturday (9th) or sunday night (10th) Given that the above are not always the best of company, - I am considering offering a spot to a fourth person. If you think you would like to go - email me or leave a reply here (DONT PM me!!!) jm787055@gmail.com - and convince me (cash offers over $10,000.00AU earn instant admission!!). FYI The boat is a 5mtr tinny with all the mod cons like engine and steering wheel & anchor & stuff. I am located close to Castle Hill I am thinking of leaving around 5.30 / 6.00pm (but am generally hopeless at sticking to timetables!) & am flexible on the return time (within reason). If you think you are interested email me with your bank account details and convince me ! I am actually not that mercenary, any contribution to bait / fuel would be appreciated, but the main aim is to enjoy having a fish. Let me know if your interested. John
