    Members Boats.

    Why not Ocean Cylinder?
  2. I doubt 🤔. Who will feed them?! 🤣

    Black cat

Are there big cats in Australia? https://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2008/08/22/2342095.htm
  4. Only if they get through the 'woods' 😆
  5. You mean they need somehow to get into the boat 😆
  6. If you bought it from a brick&mortar store, then take it there. Let them deal with Shimano or fix it themselves. So you dont have to send the reel back and forth.
  7. Lol, I still found 5 empty rodholders.
  8. I remember there were a couple of interesting 'bream on lures' articles posted on forum not so long ago - there should be some info about tide and time. Easy to find with forum search function I fish for bream on SP in my local estuary. Summer is more productive than winter. Most of fish were caught in the same spots. Tide side did not matter much. Fishing was in the mornings.
  9. I assume you are in Newcastle Go to the source: https://www.ausmarinescience.com/tide-times/2021-new-south-wales-tide-times-1/ Or at least this: http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/tides/#!/nsw-newcastle Willyweather has nice and simple design, and it applies same SIMPLE approach to its forecasts. If I choose Narra Beach in Willyweather - it will provide wind info from closest inland Terrey Hills (instead of more appropriate North Head), and will provide tide prediction from well-known and 'protected' Fort Denison (instead of of more appropriate 'open' Camp Cove).
  10. Another opinion. Not a gov/official source, however quite known: https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/what-s-within-10km-of-your-home-in-sydney-20210709-p588c0.html "Under the new restrictions, residents must stay within their local government area for exercise or go no further than 10 kilometres from their place of residence or temporary accommodation, if the place is within another local government area."
  11. I dont take all 1000, just those applicable to the fishing area/targetted species and a few spares. If I was out of weighted weedless hooks - I was just clipping large splitshot or halfcut ball sinker on a hook. Hidden barb/hook tip of a weedless hook in ZMan SP worked well for me as well. No worries. For more inspiration, have a look at Ocean Angler Cyclops jigheads, Nitro Elevators jigheads, Mustad Fastach clips, Mustad Fastach Football Weight.
  12. Dave, do you have the official/Gov source restricting exercising only to LGA limit in some areas? So far I was able to find that LGA limit in some areas applicable for work purposes only.
  13. 10km OR LGA https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/greater-sydney#reasonable-excuse-to-leave-home Worth checking before every fishing trip. Sometimes they do page updates before/without public notice.
  14. Affected as well. Though, I think, 10km is still a very 'generous offer' comparing to 2.5km exercise limit in SA or 5km limit in VIC.
  15. Hi All. Just wondering if anyone used Jika and/or Tokyo weedless SP rigs (both are popular over the pond, and are easy DIY project) on local estuary/saltwater species, and what is the opinion/results?
  16. Most common in Sydney, I think, will be 'estuary catfish'. Take home as much as you can i.e. no size or bag limit. I have seen plenty at Narrabeen lake and beach. For other 'spots' and baits - just search the forum.
  17. I havent tried, but noticed plenty of videos on Youtube for 'DIY fishing snaps'.
  18. My line on centerpin is coming out from inside (between reel and reel mount), so minimum impact from wind and drag from fingers.
  19. I have got a couple of multi-color leader (just like multi-color braid) spools from NZ, and use them 95% of time. It looks a bit unusual, but I dont see any noticeable difference in bites.
  20. Blades used to be my #1 lures before I moved mostly to SP. Bites. Same as said above - most of bites were when lure was resting on the bottom, so used mostly small hops. Sometimes added a bit of Xfactor. Usual catch - flathead, sometimes bream, trevally, whiting. Price. Fishing (particularly for common (near)estuary species) can be usually as cheap or expensive as you want. My best performers were $2-3 blades from E bay. I used quality hooks though. Every blade has 2-3 holes to correct the action. Snags. Remove rings and trebles, add doubles with hooks pointing toward tail. Hookup rates similar to trebles. Catches snags usually only during a strong side current. Usage. I found hookup is more reliable with SP single hook than with blades, therefore now I use blades mostly only if Aussie SP piranhas (LJs) are around.
  21. It is worth visiting that shop in Moaning Vale. Reasonable prices. Widest tackle choice on Northern Beaches. Nicest sales staff. They used to sell Alvey reels. I presume they still might have low mount rods. May be give them a call?
  22. I did not know they are specializing in BDSM now 🤣.
