Hi guys and girls just wandering if anyone can give me some pointers for catching some live yellow tail and squid in the harbour i tried last night for a while but the weather was shockin so cos i wasnt getting anything plus weather i canned it i tried around abbotsford wharf and a couple of others for squid with a squid jig and berleyed pretty hard around cockatoo island for yakkas to no avail any pointers will be very much appreciated as i want to start fishing the system more cheers

Yeah i definately wouldnt be puttin a casting deck in but id go for a solid flat floor which should improve the stability as far as walkin around in it and that if it was me and only stickin to the calmer rivers id be takin the middle seat out i know people think its a big no no and alot of people will poo poo it structual integrity and so on but in calm water its perfectly safe as ive done it before and it was awesome freed up alot of room and was still super tough and yeah rod holders fishfinder thats about all you could do with it but yeah its got good potential for a river boat for sure

I got a solas stainless steel prop i kept in getting bad prop torque like my boat would always tilt to one side pretty badly no matter how i adjusted the tilt or whether or not i had hydrofoils on but as soon as i changed it the boat was perfect im not sure the old alloy prop was hit by something but looked brand new and i think i got a couple of more knots out of the motor to seems to use the same amount of fuel but looks very nice not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing Theres alot of theives around lookin for an easy steel so i put a stainless lock nut on it

I got exact same motor The only time mines ever done that is when the little rubber o ring on the quick connect fitting wore a little n was letting a little bit of air in which was enough i also had it happen to another merc motor was a 2005 25hp also check all the way up the line
