Personally thought the Trailer Boat Show is lot more applicable to myself and with in range of my Budget and funny enough there is much more tackle stands & IT'S FREE to Enter to the Show , Enjoyed it much more than the Boat Show in Darling Harbour . Cheers Oziodin

I got Scotty's 1060 on a swivel base. couldn't be Happier . the base plate is mounted permanent onto boat and the down rigger is attached by 4 screws when needed and with having the swivel base it very easy to operate as you can set the down rigger witch angle when in use or you can use it as a rod holder when fishing bottom so for me it's a Scotty 1060 instead of the 1050 as 1060 has a larger retrieval reel and a shorter arm than 1080. its very worth while to spend the little extra and get the swivel mount . Lot of people drives their boat on/off the trailer and there is different techniques people use. my Rule of thumb is my trailer wheel covers must just stick out of the water any time . if I Launch my boat by myself (Quintrex 5.8 Spirit) I can Reverse the boat off no Problem . when I drive the boat On same again the wheel cover must be just out of the water and drive the boat on when its nearly on. I leave the motor in forward gear just idling and go up and hook the boat on the trailer to winch it on ( so the Boat wont role of the trailer before its secured on to trailer) and turn engine off tilt engine than chain it then drive . like I say everyone got different techniques, I like to her from others of theirs techniques . Lowrance combo 7HDS .Heaps good up to 260 meter depth just one thing learn how to Use it ,it the biggest issue people has when the use, GPS also Fish Finders . Take your Time, but very worth while to learn you can navigate any where anytime day or night .there is two DVD's "Dr Sonar " witch was very helpful . cheers Oziodin
