  1. Hey All, Just after some Berkley Gulp Craws 3" preferably in Camo colour. If anyone can spare them, please let me know. Thanks.
  2. I have had the worst experience with my barcrusher 610c boat. I would not recommend this boat to anyone. It was very poorly made and the hull was warped, definitely not what i expected for 70k. The hull has cracked in several locations and it is the hardest riding, back braking, most uncomfortable boat i have ever been in. And when something goes wrong, the dealer did not assist in any way, shape or form. There is only one dealer per state so your stuck. Instead, they bullied me and accused me of mismanaging the boat when all i did was treasure it like gold. The manufacturer is even worse and threatens legal action, when all I wanted was my boat repaired. I was without my boat twice for an extended period of time during rectification. 1st occasion was 2 months and 2nd occasion was 6 months. The boat is only 3 years old.
  3. What type of boat do you have? Upload some pics

  9. Hey all, Just wondering what type and size outriggers everyone is running? Don't mind what I pay, but I want good quality gear that will last long, not something that will break or fracture with little force. I've heard reelax is the best but need confirmation? I have a 6.1m bar crusher if that helps in determining size required. They also need to be removable. Cheers
  10. Hi Damo, Thanks for the info. Are you still using RIP CHARTS to get your info? Thinking of investing in it.
  11. Hi Damo, Can you please provide additional information? What did you catch them on, were they feeding on the surface etc. I wouldn't mind heading out this weekend for them. Regards, Daniel
  12. Hi all, I'm just after some constructive feedback in regards to Structure Scan HD with the LSS2 transducer for my lowrance HDS 7. Does it do what it intends to do or is it all a gimmick? I understand people have different expectations so that is a very broad question, but does it give good detail of the bottom structure? What was your first impression of the product? Has anyone used structure map? Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards Dan
  13. Awesome mate. Any size to them?
  14. Try around little manly point mate. What jigs are you using? If you have any yamashita warm jackets, chuck one on! Been braining the squid lately on them in the larger sizes.
  15. Yes mate, all leading tackle stores should stock them. Trouble is, which colour do you buy! You'll know what i mean when you see them!
  16. Check this out guys. http://www.yamaria.co.jp/english/YAMASHITA/e_live2010_warm/tabid/345/Default.aspx
  17. Out of all these squid, we didn't get one tear in the cloth. There was a small mark when the cuttles had a go at one of the jig but thats about it. The cloth absorbs light from any source and changes it into thermo energy about 0.5 degree celsius to 1 degree celsius warmer in the water. It is exactly what is required for the cold winter water temps. Hi mate, we probably only got 4-5 from each spot before moving on. There is no one spot, just keep hopping along until you find them. If they are there, it wont take them long to sense the warm jackets.
  18. Hi all, If anyone has a barcrusher 610C with a 150HP ETEC or 130ETEC, can you please send me a PM as i'd like to ask a few questions. I promise not to make too much of your time. Just a few simple questions. Regards, Daniel
  19. Thanks guys, no secrets, all squid were taken on silver based and gold based Yamashita Egi O Live Series jigs, they have improved my catch rate immensely! There's plenty of squid to be had out there! Grab some jigs and get stuck into them. After landing a gemfish with several tentacle sucker marks on its head only last week, i'm curious to see what will happen if i drop a squid jig down at browns!! Anyone tried?
  20. Hi all, A weeks ago, we managed to fit in another quick session for squid on Sydney harbour before we headed out in search of some blue eye cod and some early season fin’. The squid were biting as usual, in the usual haunts and a few small cuttlefish came to the party also. It was most interesting to see several times that whilst I was retrieving one squid, another squid would latch onto the jig in an attempt to snatch a feed. I’ve only ever witnessed this on the Yamashita Egi O jigs with the warm jackets. Quite possibly could have something to do with the ‘warm jackets'! After we got a quick few, we headed to the mountain. The plan for fin was dropped when we were welcomed with a double hookup of blue eye to 12kg on the first drop. We used fresh bonito strips (four baits per fish). Ended up bagging out on ooglies (blue eye 4, 4 gemmies and 2 alfonsino) and decided to come in and give the snapper a go. Nothing special on the snapper front, landing 5 legals between 30-38cm and a salmon on the bottom in 38m of water. There were too many throw backs in the mix, but no jackets around which is a great thing!
  21. So who’s heading out for fin’ tomorrow and what’s the plan? I’m limited with the resources I have but BOM is showing warm temps SE of browns (appears to be thinning and diminishing) and again a fair way past heatons. Last time I chased the temp breaks but couldn’t find the fin, only managing to land one albacore. Heard a few guys had a lot of success trolling blindly between browns and heatons last week, several albacore and stripies, 1 or 2 marlin and a patch of yellowfin. Any of the latter will do me just fine. Interestingly, last week, on my return journey from 30km due east, I found more and more bait the closer I got to browns.
  22. Hey Damo, Where did you find the fish? I trolled 18km SE of browns for nothing then headed towards heatons. I know they wont be there again but i just want to know where i went wrong. Cheers
  23. i was out all day for only one albacore. We headed about 18nm SE of browns for nothing (only saw one other boat out there in the morning) along 34.07-34.08 area. then headed towards heatons for the albacore. On the way back there seemed to be a few more boats trolling and cubing the area SE of browns. Long day but managed a plenty of gemfish on the bottom.
