  1. Other then getting wet & being cold, is there anything else I should know about before I head out tomorrow in the rain? Seriously I remember my dad telling me we couldn't fish in the rain because the fish don't like it ( I was 7 or 8) at the time, but now I'm thinking he told me because he didn't want to get wet. Love the site Thanks Rob
  2. Huey, Ive got it the cable off at the motor side, now i need Cer clip pliers to get the other end off the control box side, if thats how its done? Thanks again for your advice, Rob
  3. Thank You Mate. had me stuffed. if i lived closer to Cowan Id bring it in for you to swap it over, but Blacktown is quite close enough
  4. Ok People i have found the reason for the stiff cable, not to remove and replace. I like doing stuff myself if possible, so how do i get this end out of the engine setup. Thanks Rob
  5. Thanks bennoz, we launched at Wharf road and just headed up around balmain wharf and the lane cove river. Didnt catch any keepers, but my young fella had a ball which is the important part. But next time i will try rose bay ramp and try the locations you have sugguested Cheers Rob

  7. Hey guys After taking my boat out yesterday, I noticed I was having trouble putting the motor into gear & because it was a struggle going into gear it was stalling sometimes once it did go into gear. When I got home it notice while flushing the motor I noticed it went into gear quite easily, forward reserve & didn't stall once. I also notice that the gear selector cable has a small split, but from a closer look it looks like its only the outer sheath that is split. I have a 30hp Tohatsu with forward controls. Thanks guys Rob
  8. Thank You Mick 54, I'll avoid that for sure mate. wharf road it is i think. Now just to find a good little hole for us to fish in
  9. Thinking about taking my 8 year fishing somewhere in sydney harbour on saturdaying morning. we have a little 14ft runabout. Never really fished the harbour before, mainly fished up forster/tuncurry waters. Im not asking for exact spots or GPS locations, just a general area's as to where we might be able to catch a fish or 2. More then likely launch at wharf road or silverwater if that helps at all. Picture of our little rig at Tuncurry. Thanks Guys/Girls Rob
