    Boat set up.

I need thisssss!!! Mind you I don't know if I'm a worse fisho or a cook
  2. That's unreal!! Brilliant info mate. I'll read up tonight about it. As I said I wanna do it right from the start and this sounds perfect
  3. Na no way mate. She's a big angry ocean out there. I do get what you mean tho. I was in a 5.2 seafarer pumping back to Ulladulla harbour in some average conditions and a 4m and 20 hp was a fair way south battling to get back. Some have more nads than me.
  4. Yeah right so the new vhfs links up your coordinates? I'm in tas this weekend and a fishing expo is on so I may pop down and check it out what's on offer. For the boat build I want to do it right from the start and have its user friendly. I'll have a look into it
  5. Some just assume people overlook safety! Forums.. people are open to opinion I guess.
  6. Mate I do not go outside without logging on and off with marine rescue and I have a epirb onboard at all times when I'm 100m out or 10 km out alone with all safety equipment like flares and the like
  7. Such a great make! i have a sundance mariner 4.6 with a 2000 Johnson. floor needed work but I got her for a steal so That's sorted. Just a few cosmetic things like carpet, hard polish and new stainless bits and pieces and it looks like a different boat.
  8. Hey mate, that's my old girl!! I wish I never sold her. 5.2 seafarer viking with 135 merc. Name was Barney rubble! Cracker boat.. Love to find out where she is now! when I have the new boat finished I'll update my pic
  9. Very true in the extra safety side of it. And if you hit a hot bite can mark it! I did use it on my old one but I'm interested to see how many use them to their potential. In saying that even if you don't use it much I guess there will be that one time you go " shit if only I had a gps on this"
  10. Hey all!! long time inbetween drinks.. Im back up and running in the fishing scene after ditching the ski boat. Ive got my hands on a 4.6 glass runabout with a 2000 70 Jonno. treating it as a project to bring it back to new and just had the floor strengthened which brings me to my question.. who has a sounder with gps and really how often do you use the gps side of it (not just up on the screen.. actually using it)? I had a lowrance 7 combo in an old boat. For the new I was looking at the elite 5 combo ..but now I'm tossing up weather to get the gps one or not for the extra cash. I guess it's good for reefs and to view previous spots/drifts.. whats your view? My fishing is syd harbour, hacking, and south coast with the trip outside the head when Mother Nature is playing ball! Tight lines
  11. A boat is only worth whay people are willing to pay at the end of the day. Im in the market for a new boat and in my searching i have seen some tinnys on the market with a bit more fruit on them for 6k or so. I dont think id pay 6k for it . But rhays just my opinion. Shop around and get what you think suits your need Cheers
  12. yeww few of these bad boys will help make the project tinny look a bit nicer.
  13. Jerry can and funnel and let it drain into that? I do have a clue about draining the fuel but defiantly heavy wash and and spray with a degreaser asap
  14. I'll go two if an orders getting sorted. Might help pretty the boat up and make me get out and use the thing
  15. 100 in total in nsw! Why anyone will need 100 is beyond me !
  16. Also if you can get your hands on a nipper pump and pumps some nippers on the flats you'll smash it down there
  17. Lake Conjola has been fishing well lately with flathead on the flats. And plenty of whiting holding there too. Berringer lake same thing if you go left from berringer ramp the flats there drop off rappidly. I have done well there plenty of times with flattys on sp even get out and walk around a flick your plastics or bait . Directly across from the ramp to the right there is a small headland very rocky I Ancor off there and cast dead baits to the rocks and every time I pull good bream . All my big 40cm + have been off the rocky head lands on the banks of Conjola and berringer. It's a wonderful part of the world down there! I'm fair sure the dredging of the Conjola mouth is underway aswell which should be great for future fishing. Cheers
  18. Actually another one. I was at fore shore and had backed the boat in and asked my gf to unhook the boat .. I was wondering what was taking so long to look over and find her I hitching the trailer!! Chain was off plug out and about to lift the hitch.. The look on my face must of made her wake up to what she was doing.. Every weekend at the ramp I crack the joke about it and every weekend she doesn't laugh and tells me to eff off haha
  19. Thank god it happened in your drive way and not on the road at speed! Dad towed the camper trailer to Albury without realise the hitch wasn't locked on. Goes to show how balanced those things are.. Hate to see the outcome of it had of unhitched at 110... Haha Solid effor on going fishing get on the water and forget about all issues! Personally I would still be sitting in the driveway having a tantrum like a 5 year old! haha
  20. Perfectttttt ! I have a weekend away this weekend in currarong and this has got me pumped! Great video mate
  21. Bummer not the one I found. Sorry if I got your hopes up aha I've found a penn in the cooks and a Jarvis combo in Georges all in one week! good luck!
  22. Where abouts in the Georges and what rod/reel mate
  23. Nice mate! same I found Sunday there were taking pilly rather than the squid. Bloke next to me had lives out no getting touch at wedding cake marker. I hooked up and it ran like crazy... Probly cause a shark was after it
  24. Don't forget the 1.5 m hammerhead off jibbon
  25. Yeah that's why I'm thinking! No fisherman would let this reel go to waste ! Rod looked like it was once a nice rod haha
