  1. I second the lefty loop, I have been using it for years in both fresh and saltwater environments, in both heavy and light tackle, as well as fly. I have never had it fail.
  2. That is a serious setup, you will have no problem pulling in Russian subs with it. I checked out the sensor surf in store and they feel great! and you can't go past the Saltist, especially with the addition of the easy upgrades. It is pretty hard to not upgrade drag washes to carbon these days. What type of line are you going with?
  3. These are without a doubt my favourite subsurface hardbody lure for lighter work in both fresh and salt water, and in both deep and swallow crank.
  4. Great information here, I am about to pick up the T curve costal 902 paired with a stradic 5000 for the rocks and surf around the Newcastle area.
  5. I had to make up a few rigs on a recent kayak trip where I was live baiting, I found the sp wallet to work a treat, kept them out of harms way and was easy to access on the water. It is probably not great if you are making a whole heap up, in that case some of these suggestions on here are brilliant. Love the ag pipe and tennis tin.
  6. I have used the Led Lenser H7 and found it brilliant and bright. I however decided to buy the Blackdiamond Storm as it was somewhat water proof and I was planning to and done a lot of night fishing out of a kayak. Both are great in my opinion, I like having the red mode as I feel it is less intense, and less likely to scare the fish away, but I do not have any evidence to back up the statement. If I were to buy a new headlamp I would probably get the Led Lenser in recharge as it makes it a lot easier and cheaper then constantly purchasing batteries. I have also used cheap headlamps, they do the job and your gut doesn't churn if you get them wet or drop them. They are however by no means as bright, and do tend to not be quality. They do however illuminate enough to do basic things like find a beer in an esky, set up camp or even tie a silm beauty.
  7. Hey mate, I have the Seabass 96ml, as well as a few other rods I use for flicking metals, and plastics off the beach (samaki, shimano travel, daiwa, wilson). I have the seabass married up to a freams 3000 reel (20lb sunline), and it is a lovely balance, and light. I can cast it all day. I don't know how it would be with a 4000 reel though; I would probably get along to a shop to check the balance. I know I could probably use a 2500 comfortably, and without dramas. I just like having 300yards of braid in case of a prized Mulloway swallows the grub. Would I buy another seabass, yes (I would probably look at the new lateo, but thats me). r.
