  1. hi pete, I am feeling much better today as it is POET DAY.(PI** OFF EARLY TODAY), the answer to your question did we catch any fish, is yes if you count seaweed. no if you dont. i have never caught anything there yet but jim has had a stingray a few years ago, and it was too small for a prize. OH WELL. i enjoy fishing off the jetty. i catch fish then. not very often though. yes we are all very thankful that no-one got hurt. thanks for your conversations. we now own four wheel drives so jim is prepared for next year. not me. you have a wonderful weekend. must go back to work. cheers, cindy.
  2. :: hi pete sorry for the delay in replying but have been busy with work and insurance and arranging 2 utes for work. our insurance company (SGIC) were fantastic with us and i give them 150% out of 100 for all their help and quickness. we are so lucky we did not take our 3 grandchildren with us as planned. thank god!!! i am still not over the night as i have crying sessions by myself. i cant believe no-one informed us of the king tide. if they had we would have left when the wind took our tarp from over the camper. so many people knew of it coming and got off the beach and left all us suckers to survive. we had stewards going up and down the beach for the fish that were caught and they just did not inform any one. i have been told that RAA will pay the people that were insured and their companies wont pay, because of the beach. i dont think i will go camping on a beach again, my husband said he will, what a quiet weekend we will both have then. thanks for the welcome. i do not go on internet much but we keep reading the forum when i am on. i think it helps to get it off my chest. thanks cindy. (wet camper). have a great day. see ya
  3. hi lucky ones, yea we were there and we lost 2 AU Ford utes and a campervan, and yes the cars are write off's due to the sea water in everything. it cost us about 50 thousand for the utes and i threw the campervan in for a bonus. luckily we were insured and now have to buy new ones(second hand). Me and my family thought the night would never end. it was cold and raining and so windy. it took only 15 minutes to say good bye to all our belongings. i feel sorry for the people who were no insured. it is still amazing how no one got hurt. must go now. wet camper.
