Here is my new pride and joy. 2016 quintrex Lazeabout - 115h Mercury 4 stroke CT
  3. After have a slow first few days.... Although we got two of those shovel nose shark looking things that went close to 1 meter and maybe Pike off lion island yesterday. We ended up having some good luck today, right on the turn of the tide at Half Tide Rocks, close to the weed bed got three good flat head , 55 60 and 67 cm. 2 on soft plastics , the other on bait. Also got a few flounder and a 35 cm tailor. Very nice quick session to finish of a trio with dad to the coast. Sad we are 4 hours west of salty water Excuse my ugly head
  4. Hi Raiders, My Father and i are here for a few days fishing.... Was out all day, we had planned getting some Live bait from Box head and little Box head... ( Not sure if they are still around that area or not ??) and head over to lion Island, Burrenjoey etc. But the swell was a little to big . Change of plans.... Came back and fished from Paddys channel to ettalong all day. Really had to work hard for anything really.... we got a 34 cm Bream, A flounder and a Lust legal Lizard ( on a SP) We found it hard to get away from the Juvenile snapper. I was wondering if i planned my trip up here a little too early ?? Is the water Temp still a little cold. Any advice as what to do for the next few days??
  5. Hi lads, I've just last week picked up my new pride and joy... A Quintrex 530 Lazeabout. Super keen to get a electric motor mounted on it . Anyone out there done this or know about doing so. turns out when picking my options I should have optioned in the mount wedge. But now I just couldn't bring myself to cut and weld into my boat. Is there any other options??
  6. Never fallen off the Hobie. I can stand up no problem in it. I did fall out of my last one near the Maccas in Narara creek about 10 years ago! It was a terrible thing.
  7. Thought I'd have one last yak before heading home tomorrow, found Kincumber full of weed and hard to fish, although I still managed to drop a couple of bream in there. So I cruised around into the Chanel between empire bay and Davistown , not sure if it's Cockle Channel there or not. But found some great drop offs near the channel markers, had a good hour there before the tide was pulling too hard ..... Even for the Hobie! Managed a PB bream of 37cm and 3 nice flatties. Cannot believe the bream fully nailed a 80mm wriggler !! So happy .All fish as usual got to swim away. Lovely way to finish the holidays .
  8. Yeah Shaun I've had no luck on the racks. Have you ever fished the two bays in near Kincumber? They have racks I think?? Be stuffed if I can upload that flattie pic!
  9. Went out and had a flick in BW today , started in Pretty Beach on the flats, one touch that's it. Plenty of Rays stirring up the nippers, couldn't see any bream though. Tried the moorings too , all quite even after a few sp changes. Then I drifted along the mangroves/ Rocks towards Hardys and had more Iuck ,had a few strikes. Then landed a 30cm Bream about a 40cm whiting. The wind was making things really tuff so I called it a day, had a few sneaky cast for a flathead back near pretty beach ramp while waiting for a lift and got a really hard fighting 60cm flathead . Anyone do much breambo lure fishing around these areas??
  10. Spent a few morning flickin SP's and a few lures out of the Hobie around the inlet and the islands all on the Old Bar side of Farquhar . Seemed pretty quite for the big lizards! Got 6-10 each morning but all just under legal to about 45cm. Although size doesn't matter as they all swim again anyway, would of loved to find a few big girls , I thought they would be there this time of year ??? A big plus is I introduced my little brother to lure and SP fishing from yaks and he is very new to fishing, he picked it up quick and landed a few too! After a family blow up (ha) we left the Outlaws and now for a few days flickin in Brisbane Waters before heading home. I'm after some Bream around Hardys Bay moorings / racks etc! Hopefully can bag a few!! Happy New Years !
  11. This is one bit of footage I have, need to look hard as it's only on a iPhone. Shark in right at the start swimming from top right of screen towards the sinking pinkie. Shame I never had a Go Pro and got the first hit and run. This was 5 minutes or so of my teasing it trying to get it on camera.
  12. Yeah agree Leatherjacket! It was scary at first but he was hanging around for the fish, clearly didn't care about me. I can't upload the videos !... It's keeps stopping me. How do I do it ? I really wana share them, can't see much, but enough to see it as the first hit and run happened so quick. Would of killed for a go pro
