  1. Good sesh aye, Illawarra haha is where we got the drummer
  2. Hey guys, making a long story short, went down the coast from Sydney a bit and got to our rock spot, swell was good but wind wasn't, persisted past the wind than we got into the squid got 16 all up (all green eye calamari) biggest was 30cm hood and few that was just under 30cm and most the others where just under 25cm hood haven't posted much on this site yet so not too sure how to got pics up, if anyone is kind enough to tell me, please do! Cheers Sydney fisho
  3. Very good sesh. Can't wait till I come so we can get a few
  4. Me and my mate Irvin thought we will have a crack and fish iron today as we had no other plans and havnt fishing it in ages, just I got there I got a little flatty but that was no surprise, couple casts after I decided to cast along the rock wall to see if there was some nice bream, well sure was! It smashed the grubZ 2 times before I hooked on on a slow shakin retrieve he went 32cm but a very thick fish. Just after I released Irvin got here and he was flicking an Eco gear sx40, we moved along the wall again and straight away I was on straight away again but this time a 30cm, cast up the Rockwall again and what do u think, I hook up again and this was about 33cm and straght after Irvin hooked up but was only about 25cm, and so on kept getting just legals so we persisted on the walkway ledges and I hooked up again, 30cm came up and Irvin was sick of not cathing fish so he wanted to try my new rod and reel (custom samurai and 2004 luvias) and first cast he hooked a good 60cn flattie which got my lure down his gob very well! After that was a bit of a break on the action so we walked up the canal as far as we could go (around 500m) and we persisted and tried to play around but we still got stuck into some bream on the same lures and Irvin hooked a flatty, he was trying to get the lure out of its mouth and the flatty shook it's head and he got the trebles in him while the flatty was flopping digging the hooks in even more, we got it out and now he hates flatties. Just more small bream after that than Seamus and Gianni came and we all got 1-2 small flatties in the canal and that was our day! Pretty good day at iron except when Irvin got the lure in him, payback for when he done that to me!! I am still new to this site so I will be getting Seamus or Gianni to be posting up the photos tomorrow morning Cheers sydney_fisho
  5. Great job mate, I'm jordan from gymea bay. We should catch up for another fish one day
  6. Went with sydneyfisher12 today for a flick at the bay and canal today First I got there before he did and I was using a small hard body, a lot of takes and hook ups but none wanted stay on After that sydneyfisher12 and we started burlying with some bread, not much except for a small bream. So after we went to the uts and I got the surprise of my life! Not a new species but the smallest flathead I have ever seen, let alone caught, just as I was lifting my 2" zman grubz out of the water he came and grabbed it! I didn't measure but estimate 10-15cm After got a decent 40-45cm on a 2.5" grubz Than we came back to canal with no luck but seamus pinned a little mullet while chasing bream We went to the flats after and I hooked up to a small bream that ate a 3b scum dog Not much after that except for some surface hits so we went home Cheers sydney_fisho
  7. It was nice day out, ready to smash them Again tomorrow?, with ur barra technique Cheers sydney_fisho
  8. Thanks guys all this helps alot, im going there for some good bream
  9. Hey, I'm just wondering where the oyster leases are in Botany Bay, I've heard there are a deadly bream and flathead spot but I have no idea where they are If someone could point to me where they are that will be very helpful Cheers sydney_fisho
  10. Haha Gianni, I've been holding the rod in my mouth for a long time but recently stopped as some of the famous Aussie guys told me to stop because my teeth would go crooked
  11. Ye I hope we can, canal seems to be good with bream and mullet now Cheers sydney_fisho
  12. It's my first post, so here goes Went to the local canal with Gianni, my 3rd time fishing with him We first done abit if bream and flatty flicking. Gianni got an average 40cm flatty before I got there and after when I got there we moved along the canal to find some bream, not too much good results on lures so we chucked abit of bread out on the surface, and sure thing, the bream starting boofing the bread so we got our hooks out and Gianni was onto the first bream of around 25cm, after than cory (my little brother) got a bream of around 23cm than nothing happened for a while we went to go flicking again with plastics with only some hits but no hook ups, we came back to the bread and bream was going crazy for it, I put a hook on again and straight away hooked up to a good 32cm bream which pulled hard on my 1-2kg nextino No luck on bream after that so we went to le montage and saw some garfish cruising around, we only got a very small one which Gianni took home to use as bait for kings, me and Gianni wandered off flicking plastics and bread, no luck but Cory and this other older guy we met apparently saw a 50cm+ bream cursing around eating bread!!!! I wasn't sure to believe them as I've only seen very few caught up to 50cm. We moved back to the canal and saw mullet cursing around, big ones and big schools, we decided to use tiny plastics and flies to try and tempt them, I got 2 mullet around the 40-45cm and Gianni lost 2 and Cory lost a 50cm + After that we where exaughsted so we went home Nice day out on the bay and canal Cheers sydney_fisho
