    Stessco Boats

Hello all, Currently looking at different options of boats to buy. The Stessco RV 420 Catcher is one to have caught my eye recently, however had not had a ride and had any feedback from Stessco owners on the general pros/cons of these boats. No doubt this won't be the last boat for me to ask an opinion on during my search !! Feedback anyone ? Nick
  2. Hey guys, Keeping my eye out for a potential upgrade. Have had a look at a boat tonight. A 4.3 Sea Hunter Kakadu Karrier with a 35hp Johnson. Not a bad little decked out boat. Has anyone owned one of these hulls before ? Importantly also, any advise on what to look out for on a 2003 Johnson 35hp ? Any feedback Johnson motor owners ?? All seemed good, just have a funny gut feel
  3. Thats great, I love fishing Middle Harbour. Good work !!
  4. Well done mate, sounds like a fun day out...
  5. I've been listening to it on the radio this morning too. I also read that its all the way from the Heads to the Parra. I could understand if it was West of the Gladesville but I must say I was dumbfounded by the ban being all the way to the heads ?! Nick
  6. Yep, I won't take credit for any of the work as it was purely Hazza and kfish01. I basically dropped it off there and thats what I got. I was very impressed with the effort they and the end result ! Well done again boys !!
  7. Thanks mate, yep looks great and better than the average 3.8m tinny !
  8. Well after a mid year trip to Europe last year , the budget went out the window and so did the plans to upgrade boat. I got together with Hazza (harry.dz) and discussed some options on at least improving on the boat I had. So first step was to strip the current tinny. Hazza started cutting bits out and pieces and got his favourite welder out and the fun started from there. The front anchor well ended up being cut out and the deck was extended from the front and rear side of the existing deck. Then the paint job. I wanted to go red so we picked the colour and then hazza got his weapon spray gun out and went for it. Once the paintjob was finished his brother Mick (kfish01) started the fit out and organized all the plumbing, wiring/electrical with some end touches from Aero. It ended up with a 50litre Live well under the front deck and with heaps of extra storage. On went the Electric motor, a 25hp Merc and custom fishfinder panel/switchboard panel made by Hazza…And here is the final result….. I am very happy with the finish and must thank hazza and co. for all the hard work and will to do the best job as possible, and more than I wanted !!!
  9. Top stuff mate ! Excellent photos of solid fish and nice locations ! Nick
  10. Hello all, I thought this catch on the weekend was applicable to this conversation !! Nick
  11. I have caught several whiting on pumpkinseed grubs, and just thinking about it nearly every time it was in middle harbour. Nick
  12. That is some serious fish you've caught there ! Well done !! Nick
