  1. Your name: Brent Your Location: wyong river Fishing technique: Estuary (bream and eps) Availability: Weekends Preferred location: Wyong river, tuggerah lakes, Toukley, entrance Provide your own gear? Yes Provide your own boat? No Hey guys, I've been fishing for about 8 months now. I've had some good flattie catches but really trying to start on the bream. I've only caught 3 bream to date on plastics and hards.. I'd love to learn better techniques and have a fishing mentor! Give me a pm! Cheers guys.
  2. I normally flick plastics but this one took a small 4g blade.
  3. 69/70cm 14cm across body Easily over 1kg Caught and released.
  4. Thanks for your response guys. I appreciate it.
  5. Hey rylo, good value for money but on the better quality. Lol. I don't mind spending $300-400 if it's an amazing rod. Cargo, thanks for your reply, itchy twitch is one of the rods I've been eying.
  6. Thanks stewy. The light outfit is my brothers :/ lol plus I know if I get something half decent I'll always want something else haha. So lost on what to get, plus work has been really slow lately so that doesn't help Have you heard of sas braid? My mate reckons it's amazing but I think 6lb is the smallest they have and he thinks it's perfect for bream/eps and even lands Jews on it. Thanks
  7. Yea it does retail a lot cheaper. I have heard great things, and not so great things of the itchy twitchy breaking on cast ect. It's like 50/50 good to bad ratio. :/ My thought is if I buy the itchy, I'll get all twitchy and want the vapor haha.. Thanks for input so far guys. Means a lot
  8. I can't remember. There is a more expensive one around the $450 mark as well I think.
  9. Hey guys! Looking at a new light rod and reel set up. I've heard some good things about the drunken monkey (1-2kg) and itchy twitchy (1.5-4kg). Also thinking about the new nitro vapor. 1-3kg. Vapor is about $329. Lifetime warranty. What is your opinions on these and other rods you recommend. And reels to match! Thank you very much fellow raiders!
  10. Good arvo fellow raiders. I'm not sure if the baby viper is 'up to date' as you say, I can tell you this, it's an amazing rod! I've got one spooled with a biomaster 4000 and has great balance. Very ballsy, powerful rod. I want to add another nitro rod to my collection due to how much I enjoy the baby viper. Not much help but just letting you know how impressed I've been with it! Cheers
  11. Hello Raiders! My name is Brenton, I'm 25 from the central coast near the mouth of wyong river at don small oval. I have only been fishing for about 6 months. I decided to start straight on plastics and absolutely love it! Fishing quickly became my passion and I've only tried land based! The day I get a boat is the day I will never be seen elsewhere. For the first 6 months I've targeted flatties, biggest being 60cm and now starting to target Ep's and bream. I release all my catches as I haven't planned to eat any that night so why keep them right? I would love to get employment within the fishing industry as it is an absolute passion now. Been reading the forums for about 3 months and Thanks to the raiders social at the entrance I met mr and mrs swordfisherman while I was having a sneaky flick before picking my misses up for work (hence my username) so I've signed up Thanks everyone and happy fishing!
