  1. Hey mate, Not sure what you would call the fitting. I got it from Terrace Boating - Raymond Terrace. It has a funny thread on the shaft of the plug. The end cap that goes on the other side sides over this 'thread' and locks itself on, similar to a cable tie- if that makes sense. The cap locks on to the ribs of the tread on the shaft of the plug. The hose goes through the fitting and up to the tap. It is not cut and joined at the fitting. I have posted some more pics for sizes and stuff. Hope that helps mate
  2. Hahaha, yeah. I was surprised...lol Actually, got most of the info from here and youtube. It fills up very well and I can regulate flow at ball valves and aerator head. It reaches the overflow and maintains a level water level. Also aerates the entire tank. I hope to test with bait this week, weather permitting. Thanks for the post mate.
  3. Hi Guys and gals, My first post here so be gentle..lol. I have had a crack at building my own live bait tank out of a fiberglass esky. I have fitted the following: a high speed pick up with ball valve A Johnson aerator/live bait pump - 500gph Both running to the same aerator inlet head. Both with ball valves to stop cross flow draining. Outlet pipe is 40mm and runs out the back of transom. Pump on off switch is mounted on house battery - fused. I also relocated the pick up to under the hull for the deckwash pump. - the outlet is above the battery boxes. I have tested it al and surprise surprise it works. no leaks, no over flow. Quick release fittings for ease of removal. Anyway, keen to get some feedback , both good and bad. Can post more pics soon. Cheers
