  1. Off JB Mate, to be honest, on the day the sounder/GPS was RS, wo we were using navionics on a phone for our tracking and had no water temp..
  2. heaps of them around at the moment! that means its nearly Snapper time!!!! Tenticle or strip make a great kingy or snapper bait!
  3. Fishing has been good down south, blacks were great around the bay early, some stripes still around, but got into these on the weekend
  4. around the sailing club in yowie bay for yakka's. good luck all..

    Snapper

they never left this year, been catching them none stop and haven't really been targeting. Can say this for illawarra to JB anyway. pleanty around from 2-5kg
  6. what lb line you plan to run. Im in love with my lox light jigginf outfits, come in PE 1-2 or PE 3, or the heavier gear is 20kg or 33kg but is kinda oldskool heavy. Also been playing with a PE4 V-TRO setup from pioneer that i cannot fault, the VTRO rod is amazing and i know a few charter operators are using it and Ive matched a pioneer altitude 6000 with 300m 40lb braid although only 8kg drag from this reel. Not everything has to be shimano or daiwa check out some of the gear from other brands, its just as good if not better.
  7. Great spots all around the bay. Try plantation Point if you dont wanna head out that far
  8. Im still zip from 4 trips.. had strikes but no hooks.. anything will do at the moment Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  9. how much for just the riggers and kit, no lures or teasers etc
  10. also fished monday, nothing for us and radio was differant, tuesday was alot more action, 150kg black weighed at greenwell point. alot of wind for the rest of week so doubt many boats be out so weekend could throw up anything?
  11. heaps of squid in JB, where abouts were you fishing?
  12. Good luck, been lots of rain, don't think i can get my boat out as yard has flooded
  13. Great Thread Guys, I move to St Georges Basin in 2 weeks and will be keen to chase some for the stove and for bait. In the past I have simply used a LED Headlight and net, can you tell me if the underwater lights are much better? Also why the large battery's, with all the tech these days surly there is a light weight lite that runs of disposable batteries? Otherwise, I am liking the idea of towing the bucket with you to save on trips back to the shore to empty the net.
  14. there is a sanctuary zone on the east of point perp. keep an eye on the maps.
  15. the rock is a good point to the south, keep a wide distance out, consider the wind and which way their baits will be moving.. Something like this I consider is fair?
