slab baits of either salmon or tailor are killer off the beach, be prepared for the rays and sharks as by catch though, saying that a bent rod is better than a straight one I rig with a 2 hook rig similar to how u would rig a live squid, one through the top and the other hanging of the bottom with 30-60 lb leader

working up Newcastle for the next 12 months and have my sights set on jews from the beach, have been hitting blacksmiths and Stockton 2/3 nights a week, have managed regular catches of sambo's, rays, flathead, bream and whiting, sticking to the theory persistence pays off

in general my rule is if its in a packet I'm better off going to the fish shop, if there closed the big shopping chains fresh stuff is even better than something from a shop/servo frozen in plastic woolies fresh green prawns peeled have resulted in many good catch's of the beach at Cronulla

its hard to catch anything, anywhere with servo bait, I suggest the live bait shop at bexly for squid and live nippers or the oyster farm just down from shark park for fresh squid and prawns, surprisingly not that much more expensive than the filth you get from the servo even better pump nippers at grays point at low tide

as the title states, Trolling along the beach is it worth it?? thinking of trolling bate bay Cronulla at first light before going out wide for the day thoughts on possible catch's?? in advace Thank you for any input

oil wharf, monolex point, bear island, watts reef, the sticks, the pond, 3rd runway to name a few. the bay is full of fish its just a matter of finding them on the day good luck OG

have shown receipt on phone before and had no issues, good bloke though might be different if u get a peanut pull u up

early and late for tailor and small Mac tuna on metals if u can see boils but getting no takes down size good luck

After some great advice and a few phone calls I have decided to go with a 9 1/2 x 10 3blade aluminium prop as replacement. This will increase both take off and top speed at a cost off $140 ( witch I'm very happy with considering when being serviced 3 months ago I was told a replacement would cost $210 and that was only after I said I would fit it myself, thankfully I declined as a foul smell came wafting through the work shop) thanks for the advice it hit the nail on the head and is greatly appreciated finished work and off to hunt down a nice flatty for dinner A good weekend to all, and to all fishluck OG P.S BigNeil ur right stainless steel = completely un-justifiable for a small boat thanks.

hi all long time reader (5+ years) first time poster in need of a new prop for the outboard, its a 2008 Johnson 15 2stroke, runs like a dream but due to a dim witted brother (who left the muffs on and drove 3k down river) its bashed to buggery and in need of replacement. My question is. can some one please point me in the right direction of what prop would best replace the stock prop that came with the motor, money is not an issue and I wouldn't mind if I can add some take off or top end speed in the process thanks in advance OG
