What a great idea, I never thought about looking on YouTube, Thanks very much for the apps. I will look into those. It seems that fresh bait is the go, so I need to learn out to catch some squid! And maybe a cheap downrigger set up. And then onto some kingys Thanks very much for the advice. It's appreciated

Hi everyone, My name is Sam and i have no experience with saltwater/ocean fishing and looking to get into it! Most of the time i head out on Pittwater (Church Point) around the board moorings on my kayak and catch small snapper using pilchards or squid. but other then this, i have little to no luck catching anything substatial. I have a friend from work that has a tinny and we have been out from long reef a few times. He has a fish sounder with no gps. We find fish now and then. but actually catching them seems to be a problem. I have never caught a fish with a soft plastic yet, but everyone i speak to says they are the best thing to use. I understand that tidal conditions and the moon help with incressing chance of success What apps would you recommend for weather, tidal conditions, gps mapping etc Also any tips or tricks to better fisherman would be a great help. thanks everyone
