Thanks for the reply AP3, yeah it’s a 2 stroke. I’ve had it running fine for a few months but this morning at the ramp, it decided not to start. I think I might’ve flooded it though, when I got home it started fine and that’s when I noticed this oil running out. I run the engine dry every time I flush it but I don’t think this oil has ever leaked from there before.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it doesn’t seem like a lot of tide, though when drifting around in no wind I have noticed quite a quick drift. I’d like to get up into the rivulet but it seems quite shallow at the entrance.

I haven’t owned this 15hp mariner for long and have just noticed these lines of oil running from the top of the leg, haven’t noticed it before. Is this just excess oil being discharged, maybe the mix is a bit rich?

Hi there, just wondering if anyone is aware of the tide difference times in Lake Illawarra. I’ve been fishing up around the entrance to the Macquarie Rivulet and have tried to time it with the tide but when tide charts say it’s high tide I get there and the tide is sometimes even still running out. Any help would be appreciated.
