  1. Sounds like an even better version of the more expensive one I was looking at as it adds GPS. Might be nice to have that for marking fishing spots. I see this online for $300 or $350 with maps so you got a nice price. Thank you! I wasn't aware of AGM batteries and will research it. Cheers that is a nice tip.
  2. I never owned one so I don't really know very much about them apart from reading the product descriptions. I just want something simple for a tinny and had my eye on this: Lowrance HOOK-4x Fishfinder 83/200kHz for $180. Fits the budget and to my eye looks ok. There is an improved version of this device: I am just wondering Lowrance HOOK-4x Fishfinder 83/200kHz + 455/800kHz for $240. The 455/800kHz seem to provide DownScan Imaging and just wondering whether it is good bang for the extra bucks. One more question: My 15hp outboard has a 12v electrical port which I have never used. If I ever get night lights I assumed I would power from this. Can a fish finder work well from this? I guessed a battery would be better since I would have to keep the engine running when trying to spot fish. Thanks muchly.
