  1. I seen a car covered in it. Up around blaxland, looked different, ? I will get a picture of it next time I see it.
  2. Ouch!!! i once got biten by a snapper half the size of this 1 in this picture. Wasnt quite this bad but it really wrecked my day!!! 20 years ago, thus I nicknamed them nut crackers, lol. not sure if this will link this story but if it does check out this poor fellows thumb!!!! i added a screenshot picture just in case it dosent open. i cant stress enough to not put your fingers near the munching part of big snapper. i know all the old fisho,s on here know. but anyone new to fishing be really carefull!!! cheers marty. P.s. Please delete admin if faceb links are a no-no. N sorry in advance if so. https://m.facebook.com/SHIMANO.FISH.NZ/photos/a.294275827249288.83724.284564438220427/1611165608893630/?type=3&source=48
  3. I once built a boat trailer and then i welded schoolfence mesh on the frame of the trailer then zip tied fake grass over the top. for when retrieving the boat you could basically walk anywhere on the trailer safely. when it was wet it was never a worry. so if recon it would be just as good in the boat. Though Id say it would get heavy when rained on, And id think water wouldnt drain away very quickly.
  4. I was going to sell my brand new trailer and old Stebbercraft cheap but I might just sell the hull now and keep the brand new trailer and make it into an emergency replacement in case some grub steals my trailcraft trailer. or a friend gets into drama with theirs being stolen. The trailer hasn't even been in the water since I built it. The only water its seen is rain.
  5. How do you get a boat onto a flatbed tow truck without damaging the hull?
  6. Like previously stated. id go a small recirculating bilge pump over airater. bilge pump will refresh the tanks and keep lives healthy and energetic. ive got 2 tanks 1 beside the battery/life jacket compartment , and a transom mounted rod holder bait board. and ive got 2 pumps 1 per tank. both on opposite side to burley pot so the burley dosent fowl the tanks. ive always had drama,s with airater,s only.
  7. If I ever see anyone removing rollers n winchposts and not puting them back on I'm getting their rego number n ringing the police!
  8. That's sad, I hope you get the a##h###s that did this despicable act! Ive had my landcruiser broken into and cleaned out of everything worth stealing but never had trailer bits stolen. im going to weld all removeable parts in position after reading this. once they fit the boat they don't need adjusting again anyway.
  9. Nice , yum egg n breadcrumbed calamari .
  10. Cool report Henry thankyou. hawksburry is. 1 of my fav stamping grounds and Brisbane waters. spend near 20 years of weekends on my stebbercraft up there . While all my mates were out clubbing n drinking i was towing my boat to work on friday , mid day knock off id be heading up there. never ever came home without a great feed. ive been thinking about buying a waterfront house on Dangar island .western side overlooking the rail bridge. Id be in heaven i recon.
  11. Its got a big mouth for a little fish?
  12. I Don't think I'd mount the boat fitting near the water line. it could get caught on something and rip the boat to a sudden halt. causing all kinds of damage to boat and passengers. I am going to fit 1 to my boat n trailer but I will be mounting it above the winch. im going boat catch not boat latch though.
  13. https://m.facebook.com/NSWDPIFisheries/photos/pcb.652567974939900/652567691606595/?type=3&source=49 sorry this is in wrong section. And not sure if the link will give the story? 28 undersized fish hidden in bags under the boat floor. How long have these been doing this for? probably years and years!
  14. Good on you mate, the world needs more people like us. May good fortune and health be always around you. cheers marty
  15. Yeah ,? I wouldnt be game to eat anything from that river! i fell in once near the boat ramp and ended up sick for a week, ? Never launched the boat there again.
  16. Wow! top video great catch. thanx for sharing.
  17. Yeah, always known them as yellow fin pike. great jew baits.
  18. I have caught a few like that over the years n i thought they were old healed live bait hook injuries.
  19. If i lived there n used the ramp often id take a long handle shovel and clean the oysters off, and take the petrol motor truck gurnea n give it a good pressure wash. sometimes waiting for counsels etc can be like watching paint dry. other fisho,s might see and next time take a turn? to maintain the ramp. you can only hope.
  20. The pictures on google earth can be a year or so old so i wouldnt take it as real time.
  21. I tow my 5.3 trailcraft with my 1991 Sahara direct inj turbo diesel. have to keep a look in the rear vision mirror to make sure its still there. Cant even feel it on the back. Will weighbridge the boat for total weight when i get the sahara back from the mechanics when new clutch is fitted at the end of the week. I lifted it last week to totally degrease the underneath to make nice n clean for my mechanic to work on. this will be its second clutch since 1991
  22. Someone should invent a rope cutter that slides down like a lure retreaver, or maybe put sacrificial weaker rope just above the chains.
  23. It's a great app. It Costs $26 for 365 days
  24. Looks great. Be exellent if they put another floating jetty on the western side as well.
