  1. Its the best car park in Sydney. The 4 car ramp is great. The 2 wharfs constructed straight in the middle of the ramps is a worry. Hopefully after a few busy days the builders will work out a solution. In the mean time I'll be down there filming for a shot of 1st prize on funniest home video's. Regards Winch
  2. Nice fish there brother, It shows you put in the time and they will come. I've caught yellow fin but not blue fin yet. Is blue fin better eating than yellow fin, and where do you think albacore rates with these 2. I have been trying to plan a trip to New Zealand to catch one of those 300kg blue fin which follow the hokie factory boats. I'm just waiting for the drug companies to invent a pill which will make me 20 again. Tight Lines The Human Winch.
  3. To Alasdair hang in there brother. I fish many times and a reel is not turned. I have spent more money and time then you would believe. I still keep going for the love of it. You never know what the next trip will bring. I fish on a 7.5metre sailfish but still go fishing with Glen and Ross Hunter for one reason. Why you ask. Grand Slam of marlin. 22 marlin in 3 days not including the ones dropped. 280kg blue marlin hooked of Sydney. 7 yellow fin in one day all over 65kg. To many yellow fin 35kg to 60kg to remember. That many kingfish, dolphin fish, snapper etc to mention. Keep going and they will come. Regards The Human Winch. (PS My hands look like the elephant man holding that yellow fin in the above photos.)
  4. Good luck for Sunday Rosco, I've been off work for 5 weeks with a crook knee and just got back to work. Looking forward for a massive yellow fin with you soon. Hope you hook up for Johnny Boo Tommorrow, since I can,t be there, I'd love a yellow fin feed. Regards The Human Winch (Anthony Chaffey.)
  5. Congradulations on you and glen getting some good fish this week. The weather, the water. the fish how can they be so cruel this season. One thing I know is you two will never give up. Thats why I fish on your boats. Next season it will proberly be unbelievable which is why I keep going up there every year with you blokes. No prisoners go hard the Hunters. Regards The Human Winch and Johnny Boo Cartledge.
  6. Welcome to the site (FISHRAIDER.)Soxie, Hope to hear more soon from you and Rosco on fish reports. The Winch
  7. Fished bottom with Maroubra Seals fishing club( Sat 28th) Caught 10 blue eye 8-12kg, 8 gemmies. Lost a lot of good blue eye when the Maroubra Seals Mascot turned up. Yes a massive bloody unwanted seal called browns its dinner table for the day. Regards The Human winch.
  8. Nice yellow fin and a dollie is always a bonus. I believe they caught some dollies at the peak fad on Saturday. Saturday I went out to Browns on a charter we caught one blue eye and 1 gemfish out of ten blokes. One bloke caught both fish.(1st time he had been to browns.) We took some rods to have a troll on the way out, 1km west of browns at 6.45am we get a triple hook up on 10kilo yellow fin. At least we got a feed. Regards the Winch.
  9. I was out 2 weeks ago trolling for marlin got a hit and miss out near 12 mile. Nothing for the rest of the day. (trolled out to browns and everywhere.) I would not have gone to browns but after doing 3 hrs inside the shelf I was desperate. Trolling back in about 2pm saw a boat catch a marlin about 2km east of far fad. I agree stay in close. (PS got 8 good size dollies.) Heading back to Port Stephens this weekend so I'm pretty keen to hook one. Regards the winch.
  10. Good luck at the fad today. Went out to far Fad on Sunday got 8 good size dollies. Then trolled for marlin due East at the shelf. Hooked 1 but spat the hook. Trolled for another 3 hours with no luck. Trolled back into far fad and watched a bloke catch a marlin 2km east of fad. P'S there's some bait out the shelf. Regards Winch.
  11. Well done Ross and Glen, In the last 3 years you have have given me fishing of a life time. Including a Gram Slam and a tag and release of Marlin of 22 marlin in 3 days, Also yellow fin and albacore and a 300kg blue marlin. Look forward to a great day out again soon. The Winch.
  12. Thanks Mr Fishraider for putting the picture on for me. I will work out how to do it myself this week. Thank you the winch.
  13. Checked weather on Thursday night and saw Saturday was going to be a no show due to 25 to 33 knot winds. So all the boys took friday off. Launched from Brighten Fisho's to Kurnell for 3 good squid and 14 yakkas'. Close fad we don't usually stop at but I pested skipper to have one shot. Live yakka goes out 5 seconds later with my fish at the back of boat there would have been 100 dollies just sitting there. The only problem was they were all small but above legal.(PS threw 15 back all legal) Charge out to far fad with every one ready to go. Out go's livies hook up evey throw. Twice as big as other fad. But the best fish of the day all went on fresh squid including a nice 15kg model. Then trolled for marlin for 4 hours, didn't turn a reel. We did not see 1 boat out on Friday. Regards The Winch
  14. Hey Robbie just wondering how that first marlin smile is going. Its takes a while. You brush your teeth in the mirror weeks later and its still there. Regards Winch
