  1. That’s a nice lizard! Well done
  2. What a nice report. I was sure you would post a shark pix at the very end. Well a stingray is still much better than being at home. I’m keen to an adventure in that area. So let me know when you go next time and will join you as I’ve been always fishing in the south coast. cheers. fernando
  3. Nice report. Enjoy your yak! Let’s have a joint session someday. cheers.
  4. Solid catch and nice pix! How do you usually collect poddies? cheers
  5. Cool, I’ve never heard about these two apps. I will take a look at them, not a big fan of the gopro app. I’m also very new to these yak adventures but looking forward to fishing at dusk. If you’re keen to a joint session, let me know. I usually go fishing in the early morning with some time flexible. Got my anchor a few days ago so now the yak combo is officially complete! cheers!
  6. What a big girl!!! Well done. which spot is the best to launch a yak in the George river? I’m not far from it but has never tried though.
  7. Great report and nice idea of posting a map link with the video! I’m keen to put a GoPro mount on my yak and record some fishing adventures. Have you ever fished in a yak in the night time? cheers
  8. What a nice fishing time mates. I did enjoy a lot. Next time we will catch something! Cheers
  9. Thanks gutamouth! Hope you catch many big guys like this one! Keep posting the pix, it's so cool to see it. cheers, fernando.
  10. What a great fish. Congrats! How heavy was the gear you used?
  11. Hi mate, i have been surf fishing and single hook with half pilchard seems to work better. However many fishos prefer ganged hooks. As bait I have used live yabbies (marine nippers) and targeted mostly whitings and flatties.
  12. What a nice shark! Well done. Which rig did you use to hook this bugger?
  13. Perfect shot man! Great catch
  14. Good to know Adsy91, hope I can find them out. In the meantime flatties have been biting a lot. Wellzy, yeah mate, Great fun.
  15. Hi mates, after two months trying persistently, I finally caught my first salmon at Cronulla beach. A nice 49cm one which fought a bit before giving up. great experience, looking forward to catching now Taylor and whiting in case this nice weather stays for a while. cheers
  16. Nice video, I haven't had much action with metal lure though. saudacoes
  17. Besides the paternoster rig, what else is suitable for squidding? I'm gonna have a try on a wharf in Cronulla.
  18. Hi mate, nice report! Does this tuna usually stay in deep waters? tks for sharing
  19. Hey Mr Squidy, You are right and I have chosen Wanda since it is a more convenient fishing spot for me but I am keen to try elsewhere. Now I got the reason of why flathead is not considered a "by-catch", hahaha, thanks for making it crystal clear. It is a very good point! Actually I used metal lures a couple times only due to the lack of action. Since then I have always been using whole pillies with 2 suicide hooks (3/0) in a attempt to follow fisholb's advice. My leader is about 90cm meter long being 60cm in between the mainline swivel and the upper hook, therefore the sinker runs free throughout this 60cm. Cheers, Fernando.
  20. Yes mate, I have been following his advice. I am just curious why you ,UnderFisher, prefer flatheads over salmon/tailor... Is it because the former does not fight that much which makes all action much easier? Just wondering whether flatheads can be used somehow as bait.
  21. Hi mate. Tks for letting me know. Nice to hear that, I'm going to have a go!! tks, Fernando.
