Hi all Soon my family and I will be heading up to Lucinda QLD, we will be hiring a houseboat with a tinny, then going out off Lucida to cruse around Hinchinbrook island and the Hinchinbrook channel. Dose any body have any tackle tips, fishing spots they could share for Hinchinbrook, Hinchinbrook channel and the reefs surrounding the island. I know you can get Barra and jaks in the creeks of Hinchinbrook island, as well as GT and Queenies in the channel and the reef, what other species are there to catch at and around Hinchinbrook island. hi Welzy I only hooked him and fort hi to my feet but he snapped my line and swam off so it technically dosnt count as caught. Sam

Hi everyone We just got back from Patonga, I didn't catch any flathead but I did catch a mess of bream. All up i got 3 very tasty massive garfish, a 30cm flounder and some whiting. I also hooked a metre longtom. Cheers Sam

Hi everyone just got back from Patonga. We put 5 traps in the creek for 5 days and we only got one keeper. I think the reason of this is we didn't know were the hotspots were because the locals were coming home with 5 a trip. thanks again guys Sam

Thanks again guys Looks like we will chase some flathead and bream and maybe some squid off the wharf at night if mum lets me out. I'll let you know how we go.
