    Cheers mate, yeah the fog worries me, was thinking of just turning right once past the marina so won’t have to navigate to far and I might stick to afternoons up to midnight, hairtail are my bogey fish still yet to get one so was hoping that stretch of the creek produces.

    Hi all, was wanting to try hairtail fishing around Akuna Bay is there any issues with the ramp there? I have a small 4m tinny and I’ll be launching solo, would like to try there close to the marina as I understand at night its very dark and fog can be an issue.

    Is it only the shaded area on the map? If so looks like you can still target squid around Manly,little Manly and Fairlight

    Possibly a surgeonfish they are around there and go straight for structure I've hooked a lot fishing for luderick usually doesn't end well

    That's what's so interesting about catching luderick you just never know,you could brain them one day on the cabbage go the next and they will prefer the weed on the left doesn't hurt having both but i would also concentrate on using the cabbage

    I know someone who catches them as far up as silverwater in good numbers, wisemans is a lot further though,I do remember my grandfather talking many years ago that they caught big numbers at Spencer, I have noticed a bit of weed on the rocks around wisemans near the ferry I'm sure they would be there, just not sure of where and tides etc, I'm guessing tide changes when there is less run would be necessary

    Hi all, does anybody know if luderick can be caught landbased at wisemans ferry or between there and Spencer?

    Thanks for that, if there is no herring would there be any other baitfish there like yakkas,mullet or even squid?

    Just another bait option I have some frozen arrows, herring in the hawkesbury are a gun bait was just interested in trying them in the harbour I've caught some good jew and flatties on them before

    Does anyone know if you can get Herring in the Parramatta River? I was told by someone that you can get them at Kissing Point wharf I've never fished that far up the river before

    Yes it's an old photo from last year he caught it all on his own I just need to tell him when to strike he usually strikes too early, he got smoked by a few big fish that day also

    All on weed mate didn't get a touch on the cabbage,they're pretty thick in the harbour atm almost guaranteed to bag out will be back out again this weekend with my 10yo son who loves catching and eating them aswell.

    Another good session this morning in the harbour bagged out in the last 2 hours of the run up stayed for the first hour of the run out didn't get a touch some bigger fish today biggest going 45cm.

    Google earth is your friend most spots I've found is trial an error look for kelp and sandy terrain for cali's,arrow squid every wharf in the harbour holds them

    You just need someone experienced to show you the ropes my 10yo son while I still bait up for him he's got the concept figured out mainly when and how to strike,my work roster is sporadic and I make and have to change plans constantly but if you're in Sydney I'd be happy to give you a rundown if times align.

    Yes mate today was a solid session not really a hot bite and still ended up with a nice feed,love catching them on light gear.

    Had a short 2.5 hour session just west of the bridge this morning dropped a few and released a few as well, looks like it will be a good run in the harbour this winter.

    Hi all, does anyone know what the water quality between Wisemans and Spencer is like? I went and had a look a few weeks ago(landbased) there was still a lot of colour in the water and didn't loose a bait,has the water quality and fishing improved?
