  1. I've had success on Blackfish, Drummer from the southern end of the rocks on Mollymook beach. Plenty of large whiting in the cove there as well and they tend to stay close to the shore.
  2. Hi everyone. Been cooped up indoors too much recently and was thinking about going for a fish. If I'm not mistaken this is the time of year when the bonito start to show up around Sydney. I haven't had much experience targeting them so I thought I'd give it a shot. Does anybody know if the bonito are here yet and if so where have they been showing up? If you don't want to post the info feel free to pm me. Any advice or tips on where to find the buggers would be appreciated as well. Cheers, Catfish
  3. If you don't mind all the fish you catch being half legal sized bream, narrabeen lakes is a good place to catch consistently. I havn't had much luck at roseville myself but it was mainly plastics for me when i tried
  4. Hi, I've been using a daiwa crossfire 4000 and a silstar power tip 4-8kg 10ft as the rod for it. I'm a newbie and would like to start moving into spinning for salmon and kingfish using SPs and the like but I'm not quite sure that this is a suitable combo for it. I'm worried about the crossfire having enough drag and line capacity if I ever hook a big one and just to play the fish in general, not too worried about the silstar because of its flexibility ( it has been used for drummer fishing) but I'm open to opinions. If adjustments need to be made anything preferably in the 150-250 ish dollar price range is preferable. Thanks.
