Thanks DrownNprawns. I have seen figures quoted by sellers of Randell 34's ranging from 5.0t to 8.3t, so I'd be safe to assume it is somewhere in that range, but it's a pretty big range! I might end up hiring a crane with a load cell to weigh it....
  2. As jeffb5.8 suggested, use a multimeter to measure the voltage across the batteries. Check before starting the engine, it might be around 12.5 volts depending on the charge of your batteries. Check again after starting the engine, it would jump to over 13.5 volts once your alternator is charging the batteries. If the voltage increases when engine is running then there's a problem with your voltmeter, if the voltage doesn't increase then there's a problem with your charging system (alternator).

Hi All, I'm trying to establish the displacement of the Randell 34 flybridge cruiser. Information on these old girls is very sparse online, and the builder is no longer in business. Mine was built 1986 with twin Volvo diesel sterndrives, now repowered with Yanmar 4lha's and Bravo II's. Does anyone here have good knowledge of these vessels, perhaps built some, or would know who to contact to find out the displacement? Cheers!
