  1. I've seen a fair few boats up there and I know they do catch decent fish there. But I would only fish there if you want to catch and release. There's signs all along the shore saying don't eat any fish from the lake due to previous pollution
  2. Hey @ParaPaul is the currumnene boat ramp you talking about the one at Myola? or the one near the Huskinson ferry? Cheers
  3. Thanks for all the replies. Appreciate at it. I think I'm booked in for a charter with a supposed guru, so hopefully he can get me catching worms and thanks to all the info here I'll have some locations to hit up😂
  4. Hi all I've been on here a few months now and have received great advice so I thought it was time to contribute. Its my first time doing a report so sorry if I get things wrong. Caught the attached fish and another 36cm whiting drifting the spit on Mainbar flats. Just using nippers as bait. It was a couple of weeks ago now but have only just got around to uploading everything. I was fishing pretty light. The whiting in the photo was my Uncles first fish ever. The flathead was released as I'm a big believer on letting the breeders go (just my personal opinion, It doesn't worry me if others keep them as it's legal to do so) Cheers Bill
  5. @josamill Hey mate I know this is an old post but I am looking into getting into beach worming and I see you talk about success down the south coast. Any chance you could give me general areas or beaches to try? Cheers

  14. Hello Raiders, I was wondering if anyone on here has the fishing points app or Navionics app. I have downloaded the free version of fishing points and it seems good but to see forecasts I think you need to upgrade, was wondering if its worth it? Also does anyone have input on the navionics app? It's pretty expensive so was wondering what it is like. Cheers Stalwart

  21. Yeah more info on the handline method would be great in regards to hooks and sinkers. @Noo2OzFish I'm only new to fishing too but I think with bag limits for the crabs, I think they would be the same as fish? My understanding of fish is you can have the bag limit for a day so say 10 but you can have 20 in your possession ie at home etc from previous days. So you could only have 10 blue swimmers per person on your boat. But you could have 20 blue swimmers each person at home in esky etc. So if there was 3 of you on a boat with fishing licences then you'd be able to have 30 crabs which if you accomplish that let me know your spot ;). Please others offer advice is this is wrong but this is my understanding of it. And another thing on the crabs when you are talking handlines are you talking rods or old school lines you real in with hands? Cheers
  22. Thanks for the tips and reply. Where can you get that DVD I've tried looking for it but cant find anywhere that sells it. Cheer
