Hey fellas I’m currently up at port stephens and wanted to fish tomaree head. I done a thorough walk through the scrubs and bush and it ends up to a mud slide, no access through this point. I also tried the access through the side beach but no way through there either unfortunately. Is there any other ways to access the headland? If not is there any other spots up here to chase longtail off the rocks that people could recommend 

Hit the rocks this week and there were plenty of rat kings around and picked up a nice tailor all on 7inch plastics, hopefully some better kings turn up around the central coast, would be good to hear if anyone has landed some recently

Any of you fellas on here own this rod or used one ? I have a stella 8000 and going to match this rod with it for longtails and big kings land based, what’s your thoughts ??

Hey fellas I’m heading from Sydney all the way up the coast line to Noosa on my honey moon in April and wanted to stop at some rock fishing spots, I’m chasing long tail and big pelagics with metals, plugs and stickBaits only. 
I wanted to stop at south west rocks is it any good there or perhaps do use no of any other spots

Hey boys was wondering what type of rod and reels people are using to chase big pelagics LBG like longtails and hoodlums ect. Thinking of getting a new set up for this season. I don’t want a over head either and price isn’t a issue 

@Rebelyeah I seen that swells are 2m tomorrow but it’s low tide in the morning so water won’t be full so I think it’s fishable 

I no weather has been bad but does anyone no what’s been happening around avoca rocks ? Might go for a flick in the morning

Salmon can be a good sign, usually this time of the year the big kings are chaseing those schools of salmon 

Was wondering if anyone has fished the central coast recently at Avoca or around that area ? What’s been getting caught and has any hoodlums been landed yet ? 

Was just wondering if anyone uses pike as bait? The ledge I fish doesn’t hold yakkas but there’s heaps of pike around and was wondering what would it catch and do you use it live or in a slab ? If you can use it for bait

I usually fish budgewoi beach for jewies but i don’t no how it’s going to be after the storms this weekend.. has anyone recently landed any jewies off beaches at the central coast ? 

Looking at buying a few more floating and sinking stickBaits, but there are so many on the market. I would like to no from your guys experience what is the best ones use have had luck in for kings and longtails off the rocks 👍👌 preferably around the 70-120 gram mark 

I’m interested to no how you guys fish your plastics off the beach for jewies, what is your favourite plastic and retrieve type? I like my swim Shad berkly powerbaits 6inch mullet and I hold my rod at 45degree angle and slow roll it back (turning the handle about 2 seconds every turn) 

I wanna no what people’s go to softplastics are for kings land based ? I used 7inch Z’man jerkshads in pearl colour mainly and catch a fair few, what are other people using? Maybe there’s another soft plastic/colour use might be killing it on 

Has anyone hooked or landed any longtails yet around the central coast ? They should be here already but the dirty cold water isn’t exactly helping 

If you want to get in to beach fishing you should get your self a light set up and cast metals out off the beach it’s 10x more fun and your covering loads more ground !! @Gengar

Has anyone used the FCL labo 175 sinking stick bait ? If so what do they thinking about it and what have they caught off it ? 

I seem to have the same problem there all the time, slimmys don’t come there often and I got a live slimmys there and put straight out as a livie and some idiot casted straight over me with a pilly and reefed my skinny out of the water and killed it I was spewing wasn’t even in the water for 5 minutes....
