Hi all, Heading down to Callala beach for the weekend with some mates, looking to get them onto some salmon & tailor from the beach (which shouldn't be too hard), and maybe some kingies or snapper from the rocks if anyone knows any safe spots apart from the main LBG areas (Tubes etc...) Thanks all

So its meant to be like that? What strategies would you use for fishing with a reel like that?

It seems to have no mechanism stopping from reeling outwards, if you get what im saying. It reels in fine, but it also reels backwards, so if a fish was taking it the handles would be spinning as well, not just the line

Hi all, I recently came into possession of one of my grandfathers old alvey reels, but it needs a bit of repairs done, does anyone know a place that repairs reels like this? Thanks
