Hi Guys I'm new to boating and seeking suggestions for the best places within Brisbane, Sunny & Gold Coast areas where we can take our 25hp Quintrex Estuary Angler Run about. Looking for somewhere with calming waters where you can pull the boat up to the side and have a picnic etc. Have been to Bribie but found it a bit choppy and it threw us around everywhere so looking for somewhere calmer. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Tony.

Hey Guys n Gals I know its far too late to get a permit to put the boat in for this New Years celebrations in Brizzy however just wondering does anyone know exactly how to go about getting one sorted out for next year, have looked on numerous government/council web sites and cannot seem to find any useful information regarding this. I f anyone has any tips/information on how to go about it or any useful information for example how much a permit is or how many do they allow and were to put in and where the designated areas would be then i would be glad to hear from you. Hey Guys New to boating as just bought a 2005 Quintrex Estuary Angler with a 25hp Yamaha. I am wanting to remove one of the transom nuts and replace with a bolt on type of lock, now i realise that there are a good few available on the likes of evilbay but just wondering would a car wheel locking nut do the same job as long as i made sure the thread was the same. Or does anyone have any home made ideas for a bolt on lock not the slider tube type as mine does not have the 2 tightening levers. Any advice greatly appreciated. auspom
