  1. Thank you to everyone for the help! No HIN so I’m going to assume a eBay special. I’m keen to get it out this weekend and see how it goes.
  2. Hello all! I’ve just been gifted a second hand kayak (talk about a good mate). I’m looking to modify it in future but would like to find out what brand the kayak is. Sadly there is no decals or model numbers I can spot anywhere, the only clue is a symbol on the front hatch (see photo in link) https://ibb.co/9Zzg18M https://ibb.co/0tMQD12 long shot but would anyone recognise the logo?
  3. Hi there raiders! I’m relatively knew to live bait fishing in Australia. Do any of you lake mac locals know where is good to pump yabbies? I’ve been out a couple times since buying a pump and haven’t had much luck.
  4. This may seem like a stupid question to some, however I am stumped. I’ve been handed down a rusted beat up old Alvey reel. From what I can discern it’s a late ‘70’s 500 A3. I know Alvey’s are famous for their simplicity This model however has a switch marked Ratchet. My question is, what is this switch’s intended purpose? It does not seem to have any effect whether on or off which may be my error when reassembling. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
  5. Hello everyone, first post so go easy on me. I currently work with people who have different disabilities but a large portion of my clients LOVE fishing. The issue I’ve run into lately is that it’s pretty costly to keep frozen bait and ice constantly on the go. This is especially true when the fishing trips can be at the drop of a hat and end just as quickly when my clients get frustrated. I enjoy soft plastics and lure fishing but that can be a bit technical for some of my clients who often prefer a more passive bait and bobber style. We are based in Lake Macquarie and mostly targeting bream but will take whatever bites for some C & R. my question is, does anyone know of some good baits I could keep in my car for these impulsive trips? Something that won’t stink me out obviously. Would salted baits be a good option? Any good home made recipes? thank you so much for your help!
