  1. Fellow raiders, just learnt & added a fishing action clip to my report. Cheers 😉
  2. Excellent video. if you don’t mind advising. How do you upload the video into fishraider, as it only allows limited capacity of 4.88MB
  3. Bit late, but here it is. Sunday 15/11/20. Up at 5am and at the Spit by 5:45. We were at the usual baiting stations by about 6:15. After about 50+ yakkas, slimies & pipers, we were off to chase the kingies (and dolphin fish if they were around). The word around was that the kings were off one of the southern beaches. It was a parking lot when we got there!! Within 5min, we lost a solid king. After that, the line went tight with a solid acrobatic Aussie samon which was boated and bleed. 🎣 Throughout the morning we hooked up about 20 ratties. We had fun with a few rats on 10lb line, as well as plastics. 😄 Eventually we got alittle bored of the rats and went looking for the metre kings elsewhere. In the end we bagged 3 keepers for a feed (but all under the metre ☹️). Great fun day on the water.
  4. Loaded up the car and got up to Swansea in the avo.... traffic was ok, beating the holiday crowd. The hotel room we checked into was crappy but did it’s job for the night. (Reminder to self next time.... chose somewhere else!). Friday 2nd Oct, the weather was the pick of the week. Got to the jetty at about 6am. By 6:30, we were at 40m catching slimys (no yakkas!). After a quick fire 10-15 min and about 20 slimys later, we were off to the 100m-plus fishing marks. The first three marks yielded some pinkies, nannygais and the usual nuisance jackets. The fourth mark was a bomy so we dropped both kingie and bottom bashing rigs. Within 3min of the rigs hitting the bottom, the kingie rig rod buckled over (kingfish on!). It took about 5-10min to land the 1m-plus beauty. (That was the only kingie strike for the day..... which is weird as they usually travel in greater numbers then one). The bottom bashing rig was moderately constant with the other fish of the day being the grunting John Dory.... greedy fish!. Hope you enjoyed the read. Cheers.
  5. 😄 The little man loves his fishing.🎣
  6. Our first fishing report. Went fishing with my boy last weekend. First thing, we got some squid for bait. Yakkas were scarce. By mid morning we were settled and started fishing. Tried a couple of spots in the harbour and middle harbour. At one of the spots after waiting patiently for about 45min, suddenly it was all action stations. We were able to score 9 kingies, released all but kept 2. The boy had a ball of a time. Home in time for avo tea (2pm).
