Bit late, but here it is. Sunday 15/11/20. Up at 5am and at the Spit by 5:45. We were at the usual baiting stations by about 6:15. After about 50+ yakkas, slimies & pipers, we were off to chase the kingies (and dolphin fish if they were around). The word around was that the kings were off one of the southern beaches. It was a parking lot when we got there!!
Within 5min, we lost a solid king. After that, the line went tight with a solid acrobatic Aussie samon which was boated and bleed. 🎣
Throughout the morning we hooked up about 20 ratties. We had fun with a few rats on 10lb line, as well as plastics. 😄
Eventually we got alittle bored of the rats and went looking for the metre kings elsewhere.
In the end we bagged 3 keepers for a feed (but all under the metre ☹️).
Great fun day on the water.
