  1. exactly this bloke is the best, his quality of video is awesome and the information is top notch!
  2. Great report @big Neil! those snags look like some prime territory for some big cod, good to see you are hooking up to some , well done!
  3. Thanks mate, i can't be beaten by those worms so next time the swell's down and the tides low im gonna have to head back out again!
  4. My mate an i decided after school to head over to one of newcastle best swimming beach and go for a beach fish for some tailor. after remembering that you can get beach worms down there, i grabbed a bag of pillies to try. i had never been worming and it was extremely fun but painful. it was easy to find the worms but incredibly hard to get then in between my pliers or fingers. After becoming wet and tired we gave up and moved further along the beach where 2 other anglers were fishing a nice hole along the beach. it took a little over 30 min for me took hook up with a nice tailor goin 34cm. this was caught with a salted yakka fillet. my mate caught 2 other small ones on a 15g metal. after getting the call that mum was waiting up the road so we headed up to end the sesh. thanks for reading. Tides: ringin tide swell/water colour: 2-3ft swell with a slightly discolored water and overcast https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGilDakv_p-vXYr9uPD_dvA - this bloke has some great video on worming, estuary ludrick and ludrick off the rocks, i recommend highly

    GPS tracking

I just had my bike stolen, brand new its $3000. lost it in the stupidest way possible, saw a goat on the street in merewether (a very suburban area) dropped the bikes to check everything was all right then my mate whose bike was $4000 looked over his shoulder to see 2 goond riding of with our bikes never to be seen again. we were never 15 metres away from our bikes. 😭 the apple air tag is very appealing as its cheapish and is small allowing me to put it on the bike while being concealed. such a shame we have to worry about this in today's society. But lesson of the day if you see a goat on the street don't stop and keep riding! 👍

    Loud music

Don't worry that happens for us as well, as a family we will be watching a show then a tv ad comes on the it blows our ears off and its a race to find the remote to turn the volume off the time being.....
  8. Nice couple of bara's there @Wildcat!👍 what's your PB for a barra?
  9. Lovely cod @big Neil! Good to hear that you got the chance to get out between all this wild weather we've been having. Well done👍
  10. G'day Fishraiders, been a while since ive been on this and reported anything but today i went out with my friend to the Newcastle harbour for a fish. Gear: Shimano sedona 2500, shimano flathead spin with 6lb braid Lures: Zman 2.5 inch slim swim bloodworm color Tides and weather: Low tide rising and overcast, techniques: slow rolls Report: So we went out at 1 at low tide along the breakwall harbour side. After crawling down the rockwall we got down to a little ledge we could cast off. After getting a couple good hits but not hooking up after 20 minutes i finally hooked up. Tightening the drag worrying about it snapping me off i rangled it in after making my mate get his shoes wet to help land it. after getting a measure and a quick photo i released him. after not getting much for the next bit, we moved up the wall and ended up on the beach. we had a quick flick off a sand bank into the deeper water but the surf was to big. We went back into the harbour and went back onto horseshoe beach were i got a nice flattie, but of course the fishing gods didnt want me to catch it and he spat the hook when he was beached and then out of nowhere a wave came in to grab the flattie back off me and off into the harbour. and after a couple more casts i headed back to the carpark to pack up! thank for reading!👍
  11. Great story! if you work hard enough you can get anything! Being a league fan and playing div 1 and all that i know how hard you have to work and my dad used to play professionally and he has always told me that hard works will always get you there. Also some of those line breaks he created where pretty good 👍 hopefully we might see him playing professionally maybe 🤷‍♂️
  12. Great work on your first legal kingie, still yet to catch mine!
  13. Nice Trev how big was it? 👍40cm??
  14. I have been bitten and spiked by prawning and am already looking out for the next new moon. I didn’t put out a prawn as I’ve read the fishing is not that good around mungo. But while we pawning we caught heaps of small baitfish and 1 small garfish. You’ve got to watch out as apparently a small fish that is common bycatch is quite u and if you get spiked you won’t feel to good for the next couple of days. Thanks for the response. 👍
  15. I won’t say an exact spot as my dads mate has asked to keep a secret but I will say all along mungo at the bottom of the lake are waist deep water perfect for wading with the drag net. If you are looking to go later in the year I would say start booking as all the camp sites where packed. Good luck 👍
  16. Hi all haven’t been out fishing lately but the other night we went out prawning with one of my dads friends to myall lakes for some drag prawning. The night magical with glassy but murky water. the water was unusually warm which was weird. ( not pee ) we started our first run as soon as the sun set and finished up at 11. We had one person in the beach cooking while my dad and I dragged the nets in the water. For my first time prawning it was a fun and awesome adventure. We ended up with 13kg of prawns. They weren’t big ones but still where good eating. Thanks for reading!
  17. Hi guys, looking to go out tomorrow on the new moon for my fist prawning season at lake mac. I've made sure i've got the new moon but am not sure about tides. the run out tide is at 11 at night and i'm not wanting to stay out all night. my question is that is it worth going prawning on this tide or should we just go squidding around murray's beach. Thanks
  18. If you are up for it with your leg injury grab a cheap snorkel and go to fly point. It's amazing, i swear i saw a bream at least high 40's there. I also saw flatties, ludrick whiting and many other species. it's an amazing experience! You might of already been there tho...
  19. Nice flattie @Little_Flatty! Great report as well
  20. Great report @corro ! A 50cm trev is a giant well done
  21. Monster bream @Restyle! I loved that you spent so long trying to receive that fish and didn't give up, respect🙏
  22. Heard that big jew can be caught around the bridge at karuah. it goes down to 10m there i think so some nice big holes there for some jew.
  23. I think whiting would be a great bait for big jew. In SA and VIC people use whiting frames for big snapper, so i'm sure it will be fine! Though i would like my whiting on my dinner plate! 😅
  24. Nice fish, well done! 54cm is a decent flattie
  25. Am also stopping over at kangaroo valley for some bass hopefully!
