  1. Look what I found online, seems like Port Melbourne is the spot!
  2. Hi Frank, any response from your friend? I think I will try bottom water fishing with my standard rig at Beaumaris Pier which is safe and close to the Marine Sanctuary. Please let me know if you discover more places
  3. However it grows maximum 30cm right?
  4. Yeah I saw a dark coloured one with a huge mouth but it was night time
  5. Yes I understand that, however if I got onto a very long at least 1m eel like fish at Princes Pier, what could that be, just an eel?
  6. Oh no that is upsetting Frank, I will check that
  7. This is the glimmer I was searching for!!! Thank you so much Frank. So the float similar to garfish setup right? What bait would you recommend? Can I use pilchard chunks or squid?
  8. I have a fishing book and used a wheel to determine my next target which turned out to be Rock Ling
  9. The thing is it is my target species, so I want to increase my chances. I will try finding rocky places I guess
  10. Do you live in Melbourne? I understand they are different but I was told they taste good. What was the location?
  11. They taste delicious though right?
  12. I am not sure of locations where they might be, I have discovered they like to hide in tunnels below the water and stay deep. They come out late at night to feed. If I can know about a spot where someone has caught them even if it was a while ago, then that would give me some glimmer of hope. I live in Melbourne and I believe I was hooked onto a large Rock Ling at Princes Pier however the pier closes at 10 pm so I stopped going to that spot as when I got big bites I was kicked out of there…
  13. Can you give me 5 locations on where they may be and then I will stick on them
  14. I am trying to find locations where you can catch rock ling landbased and they are edible. I know you can catch them deep offshore, but I am after landbased like piers. Please if you can let me know of some in Melbourne. Thank you
