  1. ...sounds like a cook off! I take the bullet and be one of the taste testers 🤪
  2. That looks awesome and tasty! I have only been to Korea once a few years ago now and loved it. My wife wanted to go to Jeju island but we only had time for Seoul. You have convinced me to go to Jeju island when we go back next time! I'll just tell my wife it's because she wanted to go last time but couldn't...
  3. that's awesome and welcome to the addiction of kayak fishing. kayaking itself is loads of fun too.
  4. I believe you. like @Restyle said, last year I saw about 8 of them cruising in a pack at the boat ramp in Panania right up close. they were just swimming up and down about a metre out from the bank...I ran home to get my rod (I don't live too far from there) but by the time I got back they were gone. there was tiny bait everywhere that day and they were gone as well when I came back with the rod. today I was a the park next to the woronora boat ramp for a 3yr olds bday and the water was teeming with bait fish and I saw a huge splash...again I was without my rod, only this time my wife was rolling her eyes at me 😅
  5. I got mine early this week as well. super excited to give them a crack when I get the chance! thanks @wazatherfisherman and @DerekD! I showed my wife and she was astonished at what a community we have here. it really is something special. In terms of scent, I used to work at hungry jacks and we would drop solid blocks of lard into the deep fryer to cook the fries...I'm sure they'll work great here
  6. nice few sessions there and congrats on the PB. some photos of the old gear would be awesome - love seeing what they look like.
  7. some great suggestions in this thread. what about fishing for them while your underwater...
  8. not going to lie, I thought that was a real chip at first when I saw the blurry photo. @Pickles would the mini banana be a surface lure?
  9. man that's a bummer, glad nobody got hurt. the insurance company should do loaner boats like cars when they go in for long repairs. how do they expect us to survive without fishing?
  10. Nice way to break in the new rod. I also like the minimalist approach which i struggle to adopt. i generally bring the entire kitchen sink with me! good luck with your exams, the math reminds me of good memories studying math in uni. One subject I studied was chaos theory and dynamical systems highlights how hard it actually is to predict the weather.
  11. this is so awesome. I would be keen on getting my hands on some!
  12. love it, still fishing with a heavily pregnant wife and three kids to boot! you are a lucky man. congrats on your 4th and hopefully all goes well. you remind me of when I had my first kid...I went fishing on the day he was born...
  13. sounds like you had a great time and some reward for your efforts. I also managed to make it out yesterday morning, I was anchored around lilli pilli and the tailor were cruising around there too, landed one in the low 40s.
  14. What a dream come true and memorable moment, the PB should be called rod snapper (even though it was the small one that did it)! And now you get the fun of rod shopping!
  15. Always manage get a feed. Finally a squid in the hacking!
  16. Should have given them some green peas

  18. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Looks like you guys had an absolute blast, the anticipation, the tribulations and the results are all apart of the adventure. Wishing you many more in each other's company.
  19. What an awesome session and definitely jealous of the results! These are the moments why we have a 1000 last casts before packing it in!
  20. Nice box of snapper. Do you have a pic of this fish finger lure? Curious to see what it Looks like!
  21. Woah that's a monster whiting. Loved the report. I like how landing a trev around the 50 mark is nothing to write home about. Well we a whiting like that I can see why!
  22. Great report and tons of detailed info to help others achieve similar results. Especially the photo of Mk13 of your poddy mullet trap. How big is the container? Also love hearing about all the effort to catch these beautiful fish. Sometimes we read reports and forget how much effort it took to get the result.
  23. Looks like an awesome day. Now that's a friendly whale saying hello!
  24. Great report. Goes to show fresh bait makes a difference and worth the effort if you have time. Great photos too.
